Book was very good tool to help plan vacation!

Lists a lot of sites and gives some good history, but doesn't provide lots of details for planning a trip. No web addresses or maps, no tour recommendations with detail. Lots of country music reminiscence.

Love this inside scoop...lots of stars mentioned.

This book was a HUGE disappointment. There was a problem at the printing press and we have a book that skips pages 22-49. We have 49-60 twice though. What we could read didn't really give us any info on our trip. $$ straight to the recycle bin :(

Whether your interests tends toward Civil War history, music industry landmarks or local infamy, you'll find just "where it happened" in the pages of Now You Know Nashville. Want to know the best places to grab the best local food, or where the locals (including the stars) hang? You'll find that here too.Very in - depth, the style remains lighthearted and conversational. You can tell that the writer is truly a fan himself. As someone who was born and raised in Nashville, I've got to say this is the most thorough and entertaining book on Nashville that you'll ever read! And it's got something for everyone... Nashville's history, historical landmarks, restaurant recommendations, recording studios, pop culture sights and stories, music industry stories, and my personal favorite, the stories of how Country music's biggest hits were written.Photos and addresses are provided for most of the entries in case you're ready to map out your own Nashville adventure.This book is perfect for those who are planning to visit Nashville, and it's also great for locals like me who didn't know half of the things in this book! Also great as birthday and holiday gifts. BUY IT!

I've only been to Nashville a few times, but only saw the mainstream tourist "things". This book was absolutely great at sharing the "behind the scenes" type of places, and the history of some of the coolest spots in town. I can't wait to go back to Nashville now, and go to a few of the places mentioned in the book and find the really cool spots! Great book- wish there were more like this for other cities too! (possible sequel?)

Hey I live in Nashville and didn't know about half this stuff!! It's got great pictures too. Makes me want to go out and explore. I gave for gifts at Christmas and everyone loves it!! If you like the TV show Nashville..you will love the book!!!
