can this pass through HDR10/Dolby vision?

Arcam released a firmware update in the earlier part of this year that added Dolby vision. Unfortunately, I don't have any medium that I can test this personally with but scouring AV forums post suggest HDR10 and Dolby Vision work with that latest updates.

What the real depth of this avr? is it really >16”???

Thanks for your question. 425mm deep (16.73"), including speaker terminals. World Wide Stereo is 41 years old and a proud authorized Arcam dealer.

Would i need a separate dac with this 390 to have great 2.1 music? or is this great on it's own (i have a separate amplifier)

You would not, it has a very good onboard DAC

can zone 2 output full hdmi 5.1 to say a bose v35

Yes, as long as the Bose V35 is connected via HDMI you will get the 5.1 audio signal of the Dolby Digital or DTS encoded source
