This only grows inside. Do not put it outside until it finishes growing and flowers are all gone. Then open the wax bulb and plant outside if you want.

No. It comes with a small metal stand and you just set it on there.

What do you do with the little pack that comes with it?

I’m really not sure what you are asking, I threw everything away except for the bulb which included the wire stand.

If i buy this as a Christmas gift will it stay a bulb or start to grow in the box? Should i wait to buy it closer to Christmas?

I bought it as a Christmas gift for my mother last year. I don’t think it started to grow until she placed it near a window. She loved it and she does NOT have a green thumb. She didn’t need to do anything to it…just enjoyed the blooms!
