I used the extract for a cake, and it definitely colored the cake. If you mean ingesting the dried flowers as a powder, i doubt this has all the same benefits. If you purchase this, be sure to refrigerate it after opening. I left mine at room temp like i do other extracts, and months later it bubbled out of the container and made a big mess.

Does Lime juice work as good as Lemon juice?

Yes, both lime and lemon juice will have the same effect in this case.
