There are no pine nuts grown in the US or any western country for that matter, they come east Asia and the mediterranean.

Everything says pine nuts but image of bag shows finely diced walnuts. i'm ordering, so i'm hoping i get pine nuts. if not, can i get a refund?

Do not order if the picture shows walnuts. Email the vendor and tell them what you want.

Amazon, why do you let companies lie saying on package "from california farms to Americas tables" when in fact they are from China and Mongolia ?

Diamond Foods is based in California, as our branding states. Our walnuts and almonds are from California. We do offer a wider assortment of nuts including pine nuts from China, Brazil nuts from Brazil and Pecans from the US and Mexico.

do they have to be kept cold for storage

You don't have to refrigerate these nuts. But a cool dry place is much better than any place that has heat. Heat will destroy the flavor and lead to moldy nuts. Keep the pine nuts out of direct sunlight. Any shelf storage needs to be between 50 to less than 70 degrees Fahrenheit.
