Has anyone hung these vertically? Is the adhesive already on the knobs? Or can I use my own brand of adhesive?

Don’t buy I was so disappointed it’s a roll of rope and a bag of clothes pins and any weight cause it to fall. I just hung sm photos had to use thumbtacks

It comes with sticky things to hang it. So no you don’t have to screw into the wall.

Does it damage the wall when removed?

I fixed it to the tiles, and there were no mark when I removed it.

Do the knobs act like command hooks, that you can remove without wall or paint damage?

They are more like 3M double sided tape. I damaged my wall trying to reposition one of the knobs
