Comet London Cold Water Tap Single Lever 12V Microswitch Caravan Motorhome Boat

I have mounted my tap in a worktop in a camper-van. The hose feed is at an angle, not 90 degrees to the worktop, and that makes mounting and feeding of the hose tricky. Maybe in a steel sink unit this would be easier.Now it's connected, the electrical and mechanical action of the tap seems very good.

I had to superglue the blue inlet spigot into the base of the tap. This was because it popped out in use owing to the water pressure and flooded the compartment. You definitely need to connect the wires so it acts as a switch to the pump

Thought there was a pump inside the body of the tap. Actually the switch is just a micro switch to turn on a remote pump.... I feel a bit foolish for thinking there as a little pump in it. It's just a switch.

Very easy to install. Nice aesthetically and functional. Well worth its price.

Cheap plastic product. I didn't really care as it does the job. It has great maneuverability up and down.BUT, the connections are terrible. the blue plastic elbow that connects the water pipe to the bottom of the tap is terrible! You can fix the water pipe pretty well to the one side but the design of the section that goes into the bottom of the tap is so bad. It's smooth plastic on smooth plastic, no way of securing and fastening or sealing. Mine has slipped out and there is no way of making it water tight now. Tried all sorts. We dealt with a minor drip for ages but it has finally given up and I won't be buying again.

Great value for the price, easy to fit and straightforward to use. At this price it is, of course, made of plastic so don’t expect it to be as robust as your normal brass/chrome kitchen tap, but as long as you’re aware of this, it’s a great purchase.
