Does it transform by hands?

No, it's not interactive at all. You have to switch it on and just watch it. Waste of money as ALL children will want to pick it up and manipulate it (open and close it) themselves but it's not really meant for that. I wish I hadn't bothered and also it's ridiculously loud.

Hi I received this toy this week and when we push the front wheels down to transform it doesn’t stay in place.

Mine did the same I contacted the seller who replaced it

Would this be 'too young' for a 6 year old?

I think a 6 year will still enjoy it especially the "transformation" bit. My 5 year old grandson enjoyed the toy.
