Slick Gorilla Lightwork Matte Hair Clay for Men, Flexible Hold, 70g

Think I might have finally found something suitable for my hair. I have straight Asian hair, (medium length at the moment.) I have spent far too much over the years, trying out different hair products from gels, waxes, mouses, powders, salt sprays and pastes. None of them really lived up to their promise. The products I've tried in the past would either clump my hair up (no matter how little I used) or leave it feeling weighed down and greasy. I've been using this for a week to test it out and see how my hair would get along with it. Initially I tried it with a salt spray first which didn't really work, the combination resulted in the oh so familiar greasy look. After trying to style my hair without the hair spray I had better results. The thing I found that worked for me best, after washing and towel drying (damp enough to run my hand through my hair and have some moisture left in the hair but not dripping wet either) taking a small ish "pea sized" scoop and working it through my hair. Immediately after that I'd blow dry my hair. Leave it to settle, style with a comb and finish off with a hair spray. This method has worked best for me and I'm pleased with how my hair feels and looks. Finally! It doesn't feel weighed down and I'm happy with the matte appreance and texture I can have. I like the smell of this paste, my girlfriend even commented saying she liked it too and if I was using something different in my hair as it looked less weighed down. I'd say it's value for money, a small enough scoop goes a long way and it's not stupid expensive either. So thank you and I hope you continue making this product!

The Slick Gorilla Clay gives a good hold when applied to damp hair. It keeps my hair in place well. I mainly use it to keep the sticky-up bits in the middle of my hair down, and it works really well throughout the day.

Decent for styling hair. Used it to give my hair a light wave to it. Did make my hair feel a little greasy even with minimal usage, but wasn’t noticeable. Product became a little too heavy once I grew out my hair longer

I was using a very expensive product and could not afford to replace it. Tried some generic products but they were not good enough. This is perfect and price is sensible! Doesn't look or feel greasy or hard. Smell is simple and neutral which is great as I do not want to stink like mens aftershave. Bought to replace my £28 product and just as good! For context I am a woman with a pixie cut and I am very happy with this

Son loves this, it’s just on the expensive side. This is more of a Christmas gift rather than everyday wear. It is lovely though and it smells nice.

This really is awesome stuff. I kept seeing the reviews and social media buzz around this product so I bit the bullet and ordered a jar. Got enough tac to hold a style but doesn’t look or feel like you’ve got anything in the hair (holy grail!), I don’t know how they’ve done it really but hats off slick gorilla. Similar to ADH Dry in terms of consistency and smell. Soft almost paste like clay with a natural clay smell, I can’t quite put my finger on it tbh but it’s a natural scent doesn’t smell artificial. I use it by putting a 5p size dollop in damp hair and then drying/styling through with a dryer. Washes out easy. Recommended!!

Still trying to find the best clay, this unfortunately isn’t it. It’s more like a paste in texture, and the smell isn’t good. Easy to apply and wash out, but the hunts goes on ….

La Resa sul Taglio: Applicata sui capelli asciutti o leggermente umidi è una svolta per chi ama il look spettinato ma curato. La tenuta è medio-leggera, il capello resta incredibilmente morbido e naturale al tatto, ma con una texture e un volume al top. Il finish è opaco: visivamente sembra che non ci sia applicata la classica cera opaca. I PRO Look naturale e rimodellabile: Puoi passarti le mani tra i capelli durante il giorno per rimetterli a posto; la cera non si secca mai e non lascia residui o polverine bianche. Leggerezza: Non appesantisce i capelli fini, anzi, aiuta a dare un bell'effetto ottico di volume dalla punta alla radice. Lavabilità immediata: Essendo a base d'acqua, viene via la sera sotto la doccia con facilità, senza bisogno di fare due o tre passate di shampoo. I CONTRO Non è per acconciature estreme: Se hai i capelli molto lunghi, spessi o se cerchi una tenuta "strong" che resista a una giornata intensa, questa argilla risulterà troppo blanda. Profumo molto discreto: Ha una fragranza neutra e leggera. Se cerchi quel classico profumo intenso e persistente da barbiere che ti accompagna per ore, qui potresti rimanere un po' deluso. È diventata la mia scelta definitiva per i look di tutti i giorni. Ho già acquistato questo prodotto due volte e lo farò ancora. Se hai un taglio corto o medio-corto e cerchi volume, opacità totale e una chioma flessibile che si muove in modo naturale, questa cera è un piccolo capolavoro di praticità.
