Great upgrade to connect older sound systems
Bought this to connect my TV to my hifi separates, as the TV sound is awful. Also to connect Bluetooth music and podcasts from my phone to my hifi.It works great, came with a digital optical cable and a digital coax cable. Used the optical to connect to the TV and then standard RCA lead into a spare amplifier input.Unit is metal cased, feels robust, and the switchgear feels good quality.Needed to set switch to high gain and the volume control at medium, to match the typical volume I get from the other audio inputs.Works great, connects to Bluetooth well, and sound quality is good, ie. mainly driven by the source MP3 sampling rate, etc.Would recommend for updating an simple separates system, for digital inputs.

Great product all round.
I bought the LinkFor Bluetooth version (Bluetooth, TOS Optical and Coax to stereo line out). The box comes with everything you need. It allows you to connect Bluetooth, and TOS (Optical and Coax) input sources, and convert them to line out. The line out level is controlled by the volume control so whatever your source, you can set the volume on it. I really needed this specific feature as I connect the TV TOS out (with no volume control) to the unit and this allows me to adjust the volume of the TV content. The volume also acts as the on/off switch. The gain switch sets the volume range, so when set to high, the max volume on the line outs is much louder than when the gain is set on low, but the volume control always controls the volume whatever the gain setting. The Bluetooth works a treat, fantastic quality and very reliable with my iphone etc. The button on the front selects the source (LEDs show what is selected). When on Bluetooth this flashes waiting for something to connect, when something does, then it stops flashing and just works. Anything is allowed to re-connect whenever it is flashing so no need to unpair when switching sources. As you can tell I am quite a fan of this unit!Bad points: The power adaptor that came with it did not work, I took a look inside and it had not been soldered properly, so an easy fix. When I first got the unit the line out volume was louder on the left hand side than the right - I think others have mentioned this - and as it turns out this was just an issue with the gain switch. After switching between high and low gain a few times, left and righ volume are now at the same level. Others has also mentioned that the left/right channels are the wrong way around - I can confirm that this is not the case and that the left input definitely goes to left output, and the channels are completely separate.I use this product to allow me to decode and control the TV's TOS optical output (used mainly for movies, connected via a cheap 10m optical cable) and play high quality (non streaming service) music from an iPhone using Bluetooth. I have the line out of this £25 box going (via a few meters of instument cables) into a pair or Yamaha HS7 studio monitors with an HS8S sub - and it sounds fantastic, no hiss/hum or anything unwanted. The only thing this unit is missing is a remote control - then I would not need the volume knob and could position the box anywhere. So overall, its a big thumbs up from me!

Pretty Good
I like this product overall. It’s very useful because my amp doesn’t have Bluetooth and I can also plug my phone in if I want. The only minor thing is I cannot leave it on when there is no music because it emits a very faint high pitch whistle, which is annoying.

Does Everything I Wanted and More
I wanted to use my 24" full HD (1080p) computer monitor with an existing Sky Q minibox, but the monitor's speakers were pathetically low volume. My PC speakers made by Hama are small and cheap but work well, but how do I connect them to the Sky box? There are hundreds of 192kHz digital-analogue converters available online, but which one to go for?It needed a volume control on the front panel, continuously variable rather than stepped, and wifey would insist it looks good, so all the connections had to be at the back. The LINKFOR unit looked like the one, even though it was more expensive than some of the others. One minor concern was the 'Select' function on the front panel. I expected to use input 2 (Toslink) all the time, but would it revert to input 1 whenever the power went off? Having to reset it every time would be a real pain. The only way to find out was to buy it, so I did.It arrived moments later (thanks, Prime), was simple to connect, including powering it from the USB socket on the Sky box, and when switched on it worked straight away without any setup. The audio output volume was ok with the 'Gain' switch set to L and marginally louder when set to H, good enough for my small room. There was no perceptible lag between the Sky picture and the processed audio, and the input selection when powered on was the same as when it was last turned off.I wasn't particularly interested in the Bluetooth function, but decided I might as well try it. The box paired to my phone without any problems so I can also play my Spotify playlist if I want to. Audio quality is indistinguishable from when I played directly from my PC to the same speakers, so the box doesn't appear to degrade the sound. Success!

Total Junk
This is so bad, sometimes i get one channel, occasionally two, buzzy and fussy to use and set up.

Works well but muffled sound quality
The unit works well and is cheap for what it does. However, the sound quality lets it down. It lacks clarity and depth whether using my phone, ipod or tablet. I have returned mine accepting that I'll have to pay a lot more to get what I want.
