Just what we wanted
Replaces the old outdated smoke/fire sensor the lightning storm destroyed. Perfect replacement, just a bit smaller than the old one. The alarm system is now back functioning, Shipped fast too!

Check the date code for old manufactured date
Check the date code from this vendor on arrival. My understanding is date codes are stamped in this format of YMMW, where the first digit is the last digit of the Year, the next two digits are the Month, and the last digit is the Week of that month. I just ordered and received two of the System Sensor 2WT-B smoke detectors. One stamped 5022 (Feb 2025) was over 10 months old on arrival. The other stamped 4112 (Nov 2024) was over a year old on arrival. If I’m not mistaken this product has a 10 year life span before it’s recommended to replace them, so shaving that many months off it’s lifespan doesn’t seem right. A couple months old is acceptable to me, but shipping products that old should be unacceptable. I’m sending both back.

Didn't function correctly
Had to replace an existing system sensor fire detector. Original model not available. Sent emails to support and and to customer service at system sensor. But, only reply i received was advertisements from them. Wanted to know if this model was compatible to replace there older model. Unit tested fine. But, wouldn't reset. Should of bought a ring fire/carbon monoxide detector. Almost half the price.
