I was having a problem with the DVD player (nocd) and using the QR barcode on the screen, which provided a phone number to call if you are having any problems. I called and spoke to Luvlee in customer service, who sent me another DVD player. I received it right away and plugged it in using the same cables from the unusable player and it worked perfectly. Normally, I would have sent the item back to Amazon, and ordered a different player. If anyone is having a problem with their new DVD player I recommend using the customer service phone number on the QR barcode to receive prompt, friendly help and I didn’t have to go through the hassle of returning the item.

This DVD player arrived quickly and was very easy to set up. It connected to my TV without any problems and has worked perfectly from day one. Playing movies is simple, and the picture quality has been great. It's also very affordable, making it an excellent value for the price. We've had no issues with it and are very happy with our purchase. I would definitely recommend it!

Update: Aug 17, 2026 I was able to contact the manufacturer directly through their site about the issues mentioned in my original review and they were prompt in providing me a replacement, responding to questions I had, and following up on the quality of the new unit. My new DVD player is working perfectly - exactly what I wanted out of a simple, compact player - and I'm extremely pleased with their customer service. They even helped me troubleshoot a resolution issue that ended up being my TV, not the player. Basic player, nothing fancy but does what I need, and great service to work with. Thank you, ELECTCOM for the response and help. Original Review: I bought this DVD player in March 2026. My roommate and I rarely watch DVDs but we had a few we wanted to access and our old player was bust. I didnt need anything fancy just something to watch DVDs once in a while. As soon as the player arrived, I popped in Pride and Prejudice to make sure it worked. Everything looked fine and the movie played through without problems. Skip ahead to a month later. We tried to play some old Narnia DVDs but they wouldn't register. We'd had problems playing them on a friend's PS4, too, though, so we didn't think much of it. Today I decided to try again and now the thing won't work at all. I've tried different HDMI ports, I tried plugging in the old school inputs. No connection. It won't play anything, even the Pride and Prejudice disc I originally played on it. It simply gives me the ELECTCOM Screensaver (so I know it's connected and the TV recognizes it) but the machine itself says "no CD." You can hear in the video, even, that it initially spins and tries to read it, then just stops spinning. When i call the help line, I only get a busy signal. So now I have two broken DVD players.

I have not searched for a CD/DVD player since dinosaurs ruled the earth. But with a new 43" TV and Onkyo receiver and speakers in my bedroom, I found myself in the market for a new one. When I started looking in Amazon, I was amazed to find that the only ones available were all these tiny little things, about half the size of a receiver. And most ranged in price from $30-$40, or about 25% of what I remember paying the last time I bought one. Initially I took a shot on the Sony DVPSR510, at $39.88. It worked but that's about it. No on screen display (my bad, I should have noticed from the Amazon page) and not even LEDs to indicate what functions it was performing. By the time I realized that this was a significant drawback, it was too late to return it (Bought Oct 30, 2024 - could not return one month and one day later). So I looked for another one, and picked the one that had the largest front panel display, the ELECTCOM PRO ELC-1910, despite the facts that it had a bunch of 1-3 star reviews that were critical of almost everything about the unit, was made in China and who every heard of ELECTCOM anyway? The ELECTCOM PRO arrived a two days ago and I used the HDMI port to plug it directly into the TV. The TV is connected via an optical fiber to my sound system. CDs played great, and since the one and only connection is digital, it's not surprising that it sounded great. Today I dug out some DVDs and tried them. They worked great too. One does have to adjust the unit to output 1080p. For some strange reason (perhaps its origin in China) the default is 720p, which makes the image look horrible. Many of the reviews complained that it was difficult to set up and use. I do not understand that at all. It is neither. The ones that really worried me were the ones that said it either skipped, or wouldn't load CDs or DVDs, but I haven't found that to be the case. DVD played perfectly from the get go, no skipping or loading problems and the sound was (duh) just like the CDs I played. Full disclosure: I had one "homemade" DVD that I got from my son's school about 10 years ago that the player didn't like very much. So this is a great deal for $39.88. But when I looked a moment ago to check on the model to write this review, I saw that the price has decreased $11.19 a few days after I bought it so it now costs $28.79. I am certain that at that price (or even at $39.88) it can't be beat. Highly recommended. JM Tepper

I needed an inexpensive DVD player after my old one quit working. I looked as several available before purchasing this one. It was super easy to set up especially using the existing HDMI cable from the old DVD player that was already attached to the TV. Our first use went great. The remote was easy to use and the buttons were clearly identifiable. We have only used this one time so we will see how long it lasts. Also, if you register the DVD player with Electcom, you get a 3 year warranty...you can't beat that

Five stars for excellent customer service. Reading DVD's became intermittent after one year (three year warranty). I called the phone number in the user manual and explained the problem. The customer service person (Luvlee) listened to my issue, requested my address, said she would pass the information to their tech support team, and would get back to me the next day. She called back within 24 hours, informed me a new player had been shipped, told me when to expect it, and said she would confirm my receipt with a phone call. The unit arrived promptly and I received the follow up phone call the day after the unit arrived. I rate the product four stars. It was well made, offered many configuration options and performed very well until it had the problem.

Must read! This player worked great for almost 3 years and then would not recognize any dvd discs. It also would not display on a tv through hdmi. So after some basic problem solving like using different known discs and hdmi cables I reached out to the company. I attached my amazon invoice. I received a reply in 24 hrs and they sent a brand new replacement. I did complete product registration when I received the original. But honestly folks you would not get that warranty from a brand name unit. Very impressed. Highly recommend!

Heel blij met deze dvd speler: ik heb een aantal series die regio 1 zijn... en dan is een europese dvd speler niet wat je nodig hebt. Ik heb deze dvd speler nu 1 jaar en ben er nog steeds erg blij mee. Mooie kwaliteit, afstandsbediening werkt, overzichtelijk ding. Zoek je een goede en niet al te dure regiovrije dvd speler; dan is deze een aanrader UPDATE REVIEW 2026: in 2022 gekocht en nog steeds werkt de dvd speler goed en zonder problemen. AANRADER
