Black Diamond Crag Half-Finger Climbing Gloves

I purchased these for zip lining, which they were perfect. They fit well made with great materials. They are easy to put on, comfortable and easy to grip things. I highly recommend these for any outdoor activities

I'm new to climbing and trying to build up the callouses on my hands. I was doing pretty well, BUT then I belayed someone roughly 3x the size of me. My hands were done for - bleeding in multiple spots, burning, I thought I'd never be able to use my hands again. Then I got these gloves! I'm using them for the time being to just heal my hands, and they're doing a great job. I can belay everyone safely and without feeling like my hands are going to rip off. I also intend to use them if I belay people heavier than me, at least until I build up the endurance to do so without gloves. They're comfortable, cute and affordable.

Would be five stars, except on one glove the velcro is misaligned, so it takes a minute to get the glove on right. Fits tight, but I learned that is needed, or else with rock climbing, they will come off. I used these while rock climbing in the badlands of South Dakota, and Yellowstone national park. If not for these gloves, my hands would be ripped to shreds. They are supposed to be for climbing using ropes, but they stand up exceedingly well to the punishment of rock climbing. Having done many climbs now, I see no tears or weakening in the material, and the padding is just right. I can say without a doubt that this purchase saved me from a trip to the ER to get my hands stitched up. Great buy.

Absolutely perfect climbing gloves for my purposes--I only wish I'd purchased them sooner! Well-crafted with no itchy seams or raw edges, these fit snugly without being too small and are very lightweight and breathable, even in high humidity. Very much a fan of the carabiner attachments, as well--they've come in handy now on two of the three climbs I've had these gloves for. Promptly shipped and appropriately packaged, Black Diamond Eq. got this product and the accompanying service totally right. Thank you!

I'm getting old. I type a lot. My hands are soft and I wanted something that would protect my hands while hiking over rocky terrain. It suck when you have to do a hand plant and tear up skin... I haven't used them a ton but these gloves are great in that they are tough and protect from getting your hands scraped up. They have the added benefit of keeping your hands warm in colder temps. Worked great for hikes in Wales up Mt. Snowdon and through Scotland. I rarely write reviews but these gloves get my vote. They're also not made from leather and good for a veg*n lifestyle.The only improvement I would note is that a few of the edges could be softer. They don't chafe but that would make them even more comfy.

I was pleased that the size of the gloves is very fit and the surface of the palm is so soft. Everything was fine until I had a scratch on my left hand by the needle. Why is there a needle, and what is it for? Anyway, if the needle is supposed to be paired there, put it in the description! Or if it comes without reason, take it carefully!

I am an artist who works in reclaimed wood. Splinters are a thing. I've been going through a pair a month of the fingerless carpenters gloves purchased at Home Depot. When I saw these little beauties come across my feed, I decided to try them out. We're over two months in, and they are nicely broken in, and not even beginning to come apart. These are my work gloves for life. They are extremely durable, breathable and comfortable. Thanks for a quality product at an amazing price point. (December 2020 update) I've posted a picture of my gloves at replacement time. As you can see, the palms are intact, the left thumb is fraying from where I drag it across my work constantly. As I stated before, carpenters gloves from home depot (at a higher price point) fall apart after a month. We're pushing 4 months in these. I'm not a rock climber, but I do destroy glove palms. Not these. Thanks again!

I work at a rock-climbing wall. And in the last week, I had a long belay shift that I worked (where you can be caught belaying non-stop for multiple hours) which led to rope burn and an epic blister on the webbing between my thumb and index finger. My hand was quite sore for a few days after, which led me to getting these gloves.These work so well, I have used them as a set and with just the right-hand glove. I have also worn them while climbing and they worked great! I like the half-finger option better than a full glove, as I like to feel the rocks when I am climbing.These are a must if you are going to be doing a lot of rope work, and as someone who works belaying a lot and - trys - to climb a lot; these have saved my hands from further injury so that I can climb and belay more.
