Q: Can I stitch it on instead of ironing? The material I want to use on can't be ironed.

No. The glue makes the material quite thick and rigid, it softens a little once the glue has melted into the damaged material. If you want to sew a patch then use normal fabric. This is only suitable for ironing into position as it is already impregnated with adhesive.

Q: Is the dark blue patch a true navy colour?

I wouldn't call it it true blue navy blue more a blue grey. I only use these patches inside trousers/jeans so I'm not trying to replicate cloth match just repair.

Q: Will this work on cashmere/wool?

I doubt it. Any material that is not fit for ironing should at least not be ironed on. I only tried it on materials like jeans and soft cotton fabric.

Q: Are these patches stapled together inside the bag

I have had two lots of these and they were loose inside the bag
