This artist's choice.
When you live by your brush alone, you want a brush wash you can trust. This is it. Seriously. Artist's brushes are NOT cheap. Okay, they can be, and the really expensive ones are watercolor brushes and aren't the ones you would use this for . . . . But still . . . . This will get out old acrylic and oil paints better than anything. Even dried on for years in some cases. I've actually rescued ruined clothes. (From those times when I've been tempted to add or fix just that one little area of a painting without bothering to get out of my good clothes first. )

Paint brush restorer
I am so very well pleased with this product. My Gdaughter loves to paint but just laid aside 1/2 dozen good brushes (1/2 โ to 3โ) and I felt they were ruined b/c they had dried up a year or more. I put a good 2 1/2 inch brush in a container of Krud Kutter and left it for 48 hrs but didnโt expect good results!! I was very pleasantly surprised as the brush was loose and most of the paint had come loose. With a steel brush I worked on the bristles several minutes and the brush felt almost like a new brush!! I have since cleaned up the rest of the brushes with the same soak that I used in the first brush. Would recommend this product to clean just about anything!! Try it on the most stubborn first but give it some time. Itโs not magic but itโs impressive!!

Excellent At Keeping Brushes Paint-Free!
This stuff is pricey but it works amazingly well. I am happy to buy it regularly because it really does keep my brushes clean and refreshed. I use it immediately after painting now but when I first discovered it I used it on dry, hardened brushes and it worked like a champ! It was amazing! No real smell, easy to use, no mess.

getting 18 soaks from a quart
After 35 years, there was probably some dried paint in the heels of my favorite brushes. I bought a quart of Krud Kutter because any dried paint will impair a good brush. If I had a round can just big enough for my 4โ brush, I'd need a quart to fill it to the ferrule. I've seen it advertised at $14 a quart. That could cost more than a new brush. In the 1980s I made a box to soak my 4โ brush with only a little paint thinner. I used two fat nails for pins near the top of my plywood back. They would support the box on the shoulders of a hanging brush. If I tore two holes near the top of a sandwich bag, I could put the brush in the bag and hang the bag on the nails. The side pieces slope because a paint brush tapers from heel to toe. The bottom piece has a groove to catch the bottom edge of the masonite cover. I ground a slot in the cover so I could see the level of the paint thinner in the bag. Each side piece has a staple so I can slide a wire through to hold the cover against the brush to keep the bag from bulging. It takes 50 ml to fill the bag to the ferrule, so I a quart would let me soak the brush 18 times with 40 ml to spare. I let the brush soak in Krud Kutter for 48 hours. It felt pretty good before, and I think it felt better afterward. The cleaner had turned milky. Next time, I may let it soak a week. I wonโt need Krud Kutter often. When I use latex paint, I wash and comb my brushes, wash the plastic paint pail, put in a couple of teaspoons of washing soda and a few drops of dish liquid, fill it to the brim, and add the brushes. In a day or two, the soda will loosen any paint I didnโt wash out of the brushes or the pail. Acetone may be the best stuff to soften a lot of hard paint. It won't harm nylon, polyester, or polyethylene bag. It's pretty expensive, and it evaporates fast in an open can. If I ever need it, I'll use a box. A box to soak my smaller brush won't need to be as stiff. I may make one with corrugated paper, cement, and rubber bands.

WORKS AS ADVERTISED! BEST ON THE MARKET!
I used this product to scrub down my old oak kitchen cabinets before painting them. This product worked wonderfully to remove any old grease or dirt from my kitchen cabinets. I did my entire kitchen with this product and I still have some left over, so a little goes a long way! I'll include a few before and after photos so that the viewers can see how well this product worked for me. After applying this product and drying it, I waited 24 hours before I began painting my kitchen cabinets, and the outcome was amazing. This product does scuff up the old wood enough that it helps with holding the new fresh paint! This product saved me a lot of time as I did not need to use sandpaper. A little bit of scrubbing it into the wood with a clean dry cloth and this product did the job for me. Overall, I give this product a perfect 5 stars! Save yourself some work and get this product. "See before and after photos." I highly recommend this product to my family and friends.

Didn't work to clean polyurethane from brush
I had a good brush that I used to put a coat of oil based polyurethane on some wood. Followed the directions to clean the brush and now its sticky and stiff. Waste of money.

Brand New
This is the best brush cleaner ever, compared to all the other ones I've used. it's easy to use ... Just pour some in a metal or glass jar , then put your brushes in. They are pretty clean after a few hours but I prefer to leave them overnight .. they come out looking brand new. You get your money's worth. It has a slight smell but I only smell it when I open it. Try it you'll like it. 100 % recommend.

Not the best cleaner
Could be better for removing stuck on paint on brushes.

It is unbelievable
I could not believe the results. I have the original color of the bristles back, my hands are still clean, my lungs did not inhale chemical. It is relatively cheap compared to other products. You have to try it before you believe it. For me I did not even had to use the metal brush (which actually spoils the bristles). I donโt know what to say. Painting brushes are expensive and not all are suitable for everyone. So once you have a good brush you must have this cleaner.

Perfect!
This is a kind of brush cleaner I was looking for a long time. It is perfect for your painting brushes whether you use oils, acrylics or any other kind of paints. It wonโt damage your brushes as well after cleaning make sure to wash your brushes in the end with warm water to remove all of the soap. The famous brush cleaners were a big disappointment and so expensive for no special reason!!
