Because it probably uses a plastic that has been shown to cause cancer in extreme cases with labortary mice. It's probably fine for chilcren who arent going to chew on them. Quite literally almost everything has a california prop 65 warning.

Cute addition to play kitchen

Went back and forth on purchasing this for my 4 and 1 year old daughters but it was a great buy. They love everything in the set and it’s a great addition to their play kitchen. Great for their imagination and quality is good.
