Rockport Men's Springboro Rocklake Sandal

Used to have Hush Puppies, then Clark's and finally made up my mind to spend almost 80 bucks for a pair of sandals from Rockport. No regret! Put them on right out of the box and then walked through all Manhattan, from E85th to W4th. No problem at all. Seriously, I have not enjoyed my footwear so much for long time. The sandal construction (made in Vietnam) is very sturdy, leather upper is pretty tuff, so the mesh under it keeps your feet in comfort without any skin irritation. The sole is a bit rigit but you can hardly slip on a wet surface - its grip is outstanding. The sandal's general design is simple and open, so your feet can breathe easily. Overall it is an excellent summer walking gear. I plan to wear these sandals non-stop for the whole of July, August, September and October. If they stand the wear and tear by a big block (I am 6'1" and 238 lbs.), I'll wear them next summer again.

I bought size 12 wide, it's not easy to find wide sizes in mens sandals. What a wonderful surprise to find these great Rockport sandals. The two hook and loop adjustable straps make the fit easy. The fixed heel makes the sandal fit, support and feel more like a shoe. These sandals also have a heel, they are not flat, which for me was something I didn't no I needed. I like it, a lot!

I usually wear 12W. I bought a different brand of sandals that were 11 1/2 W. My toes did not line up well, but the shoes were OK. I could not walk in those long. This sandal that I am writing about, I bought at 11W. I normally have to have 12W non sandal shoes. My feet do not appear that big, not sure what it is about my foot, maybe bigger bone somewhere, I don’t know. Anyway in my case, the sandal at 11W was perfect. I can walk in these without my feet sliding. My other sandals would get the blisters if I walked too much. These are really comfortable too. If you were 12W normally, I don’t know if these would be good for you with 11W. For me, it’s perfect. I know if I would get 12W, the shoes would be too big for a sandal. It is all about no socks and the way sandals are, there is just more room with sandals for my feet to go into. No doubt that I would get these again, but they are out of stock.

I had a pair identical to these that I bought from a guy selling shoes off the back of a motorbike in the Dominican Republic a couple of years ago. They were (and still are) very, very comfortable but the glue that holds the straps to the footbed soon started to come adrift and I glued them myself a couple of times. However when I was in South America I was able to get a shoe repair guy to stitch through all the strap attachment points and secure them much better. I just bought a replacement pair and intend to get them stitched BEFORE they start to go bad. The fact is that the glue will not stand up in a hot climate, and who wants to wear them in a cold climate? I was also walking one day and one of the rubber undersoles started flapping lose. To fix that it is best to use contact cement and clamp them tightly overnight. If you have big feet, these are excellent, because the straps can be adjusted each time you put them on, if necessary. So, yeah, these shoes could be great. It is not like the competition at the price point is all that either. But with a few fixes, they can be pretty darn useful. So I recommend the following tweaks. 1. Get the uppers sewn through onto the footbed next time you are in some place where it will not cost an arm and a leg. 2. Restick the rubbber soles or replace and stick with contact cement if they come lose. 3. Get the velcro replaced if you need to, or do it yourself. 4. I also made a pair of insoles from a cheap yoga mat and glued them in place with contact cement for extra comfort. Would I buy them again? I just did, in the absence of anything better.

Good for extra wide feet.

I wear sandals all the time. I got a pair of these somewhere and was quite pleased. I was more pleased when I could get them for a fair price on Amazon. The Amazon history tells me I've bought seven pairs over the years. I got a pair of sandals from Target that looked like these. They lasted for two months, these lasted for three years. My last pair wore out and when I went to get a replacement, "oh no," they are not available (in my size). I got a similar looking pair of Rockport sandals and promptly found out Rockport had a chapter 11 bankruptcy and was bought by another company. I don't know about anything but that one pair of sandals but the new product is nothing like the old. Very disappointing.

This is the second pair I have owned. I wear them mostly around the house and for very casual outdoor use. If I was going to wear them on the trail, I would probably buy a size smaller than I wear in a Rockport walking shoe so that the straps can be pulled in tight. They are a little bit wide compared to the walking shoes. This makes them comfortable for casual use. They are quite durable. The Velcro tends to wear out before the leather. That could be replaced but it is not easy. There is no arch support but the soft leather foot pad is very comfortable. It is the first of the leather parts to wear out.

I live in these sandals 11 months out of the year. Love them. Leather upper is comfortable right out of box, and sandals have good support.

Lo que no me gustó que dejaron el paquete en la caseta de vigilancia en el piso, estaba cerrado la puerta ya que el vigilante estaba en rondín, y pase de casualidad en vehículo y me baje ya que era la caja que podría ser mía, y así fue. Gracias a Dios y no se la robaron.

These sandals are great, very comfortable and great materials. I would order them again without hesitation.

I have a wide foot, my size is UK 8 and ordered an 8.5 as recommended. they are comfortable and excellent to walk in for the price, do not hesitate to buy these Rockport sandals. I'm very happy with my Purchase.

Durable, great traction... Nice color and they really stay tight on your feet. I'd buy these again.
