Very cute great stocking stiffer and my kids have fun with it occasionally but they are 1 and 3. I wish it could actually make a whole octave, I feel like it’s missing some notes. But it seems pretty easy to use.

Not tuned on arrival. I worked on tuning. I’m not impressed with the sounds of the tines. I bought it for a gift. He will be 11. I don’t know if I replace it that the next one will sound any better. Easy to use, good quality, good size for the hand. No carrying case came with it. If it sounded great it would be well worth the money. Maybe try a higher priced thumb Kalimba, maybe it will be in tune and actually sound good.

I got this as a Christmas present for my husband. He's a very musical person - constantly whistling, and has played several instruments. He has Czech ancestry, and there's a popular saying in their culture: 'Every Czech, a musician'. He was really excited to learn about this instrument, and I was happy to be able to surprise him with an instrument he'd never heard of. He keeps it on his nightstand and plays it fairly regularly. It sounds very pretty, despite being very small.

This is a cute soft instrument. I have an autistic grandson and he likes to play with it in the car easy to carry and hold or it’s on a string and he loves music and sounds.
