I actually received this workbook in a packet for my Certified Trick Dog Instructor certification, and at first, I kind of pushed it aside and thought it might be kind of silly & rudimentary, but as I referred to it for something, I got sucked in at how fun it is and it is NOT rudimentary as you escalate in difficulty/levels! There are index cards with it, and places to write in information, and even for a seasoned professional trainer, if you take the time to actually read through it, the questions it asks you really make you think and tap into more potential as a dog trainer if you open your mind to it.I own five pit bull dogs (and Higher Expectations Dog Trainign & Behavior Modification - [...]) in Massachusetts, and they (the dogs) range in size from 47 lbs to over 90 lbs, and even though they are totally different shapes and body types & temperaments, they ALL love trick training and were able to accomplish the different tricks this workbook lays out for you.. Of course, different tricks are more suited to one dog than another and you make adaptations as necessary - I also love to leave room for my own dogs' creativity! lol. (That's how Dually learned "T-Rex!!!" which is just a trick he made up where he waves his short little arms around on cue.)Kyra Sundance is awesome, and this makes a fun read even for a serious trainer who deals mostly in "aggressive" dogs. This was a nice reminder to keep having fun with training, and my boyfriend and I love having the workbook to work through.. It gives you a goal, so you're not just mindlessly training away. The dogs appreciate it, too :) Kyra's a great author, and incedentally, a really nice person. The media could not be loaded.  This is a really fun workbook that gives you lots of ideas, tips and tricks to make your dog star of the show! There are a variety of tricks from easy to hard. Remember patience is key to teaching your dog tricks. There is also a great website domorewithyourdog.com so you can title your dog and they even offer free facebook classes to help you, teach you, show you! This trick book comes with 30 cards so you can pick what you want to work on for the day and don't have to try to hold open a book while reading. Kyra Sundance is an excellent trainer who is also very active on facebook and she travels around with her dogs for shows and classes. You will love this workbook! The DVD is very helpful for everyone. Who knows maybe your dog can watch it and learn as well..

Great book! I have a 3 year old Labrador Retriever and have taught her various tricks. It includes training and tricks that range from extremely simple to very complex; this book has a lot more than basic commands. Includes verbal as well as hand gestures to aid in training your dog. I recommend for anyone who loves spending time teaching their pet and stimulating their dog's mind and body. I would say it is best for dogs that are highly trainable and have the ability to learn a lot (as well as owners who are willing to teach); although it teaches commands as simple as "sit", "stay", "down", etc. If you want tour dog's tricks to impress anyone that comes into your home this is a great choice!

I used this as the basis for a series of classes I taught. I love the way the tricks build on each other, the clear descriptions and the pictures. I think the training is sometimes simplified a bit much, and some of the training is really optimistic (all the tricks that require a retrieve, for example.) But I recommend this book to students that want to teach tricks to their dogs.

I have most of Kyra Sundance's books, but this is the first non-digital book I've purchased. I worked as a dog trainer in the past and I thought this book was great for beginners or those like me who have experience! I really liked the flashcards because it helped us stick to a practice routine even with a busy schedule and it is a fun way to get my 6 year old involved in our dog's training.I've read a lot of dog training books and I think this is a great mix of "how to teach your dog some fun tricks" and "how/why training works and what to do if you're not getting the results you expected"

I have purchased another book by Kyra Sundance. She explains how to teach your dog tricks in a very easy way. The pictures and descriptions together really helped me to teach my dog tricks. She is seven years old, so not a puppy, and we have already learned about 15 tricks! I have never enjoyed having a dog so much! I recommend this book to anyone interested in dogs, especially as a way to bond with your dog. The cards are great because you can take them anywhere with you! I train my dog while waiting to pick my child up from school, so it is great to not need a book to look at. I can just refer to the cards. Great job!

I REALLY like the book/system/flashcards ... it's a great concept for me personally as it takes a lot to keep my attention, it's entertaining. It is also a helpful aid as you go through the flashcards one at a time and teach your pup new "tricks". My only complaint is the "tricks and training" are more parlor tricks for human entertainment... there are very few truly useful training aids it is mostly "tricks". If you are trying to train an 8 week old puppy this particular book is not the tool to use however the 'tricks' may be fun to teach in several months.Again, I really like the book/system... I am going to search and see if I can find a true 'puppy training' book from the same author.

Good information great book

der im Buch angegebene link auf online Videos existiert (nicht mehr?!). Auch am Inhalt ist viel gespart, fast die Hälfte des Buches darf man mit Rezessionen selbst ausfüllen.... Die Lieferung erfolgte im angegebenen Zeitraum. Insgesamt zu teuer für das, was es ist.

Simple and easy step by step dog trick training interactive book. I love teaching my dog tricks so this book was perfect as I already had the 101 dog tricks book so knew what to expect in the way of quality
