At first impression and first use -- very satisfied
I've been using a stick welder on EVERYTHING. After years of burning through thin material and trying to fill the resulting holes I had enough and purchased this flux core welder. It arrived today and I had a number of projects ready to try it on. First, it is light and easy to handle. Second, it is easy to set-up. Third, the wire feed can be adjusted to just the right speed for the weld desired. The projects all required welding 1/8 rod. Fourth, no more burn-through and the welds are excellent. I've read the bad reviews and right out of the box the wire feed worked perfectly, not a single circuit breaker tripped, the supplied wire gave excellent results. The face shield is garbage. If I'm lucky and this is just the luck of the draw I cannot say, but I'll be sure to post an update if that becomes the case.

Great Little Welder But I Had A Small Problem
This is a great little welder (Etosha MIG 140), especially for the price. Build quality is good; I've had it two months and it has performed well. Today, I had my first problem - the welder was running, but would not feed wire or start an arc. Turns out a wire came loose on the trigger switch; I opened the gun, re-soldered the wire and voila! back in business. This is a common problem with wire feed welders so it was not a big deal to me. I used to have a Century wire feed that would break the trigger switch fairly regularly. The flexing of the gun cables seems to do it. That is why I still gave this welder 5 stars.

Pretty Good Deal
I'm kind of new at this, but wanted a machine that was easy to learn on yet powerful enough to weld 1/4 inch steel plate. My first choice was a Harbor Freight 125, but it wouldn't be powerful in the event I came across a job that required more amperage so I purchased this machine. I have not been disappointed. This machine can deliver, and now it's priced even better than when I purchased it in 2022. The only complaint I have (which is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5) is that it came with a fairly fundamental instruction manual that said next to nothing about voltage and inches-per-minute settings depending on the job. My recommendation would be to download the instruction manual for the Harbor Freight machine. It was very helpful.

Decent welder for home projects and beginners.
I'm a retired Navy veteran and my rate was a pipe fitter/welder. This is the 2nd flux-core welder i've had over last 8 yrs. I bought this one when the other became non repairable. Vet any FC welder b4 u buy and you'll be glad u did. This Etosha has turned out to be a very good welder. Here's a tip...dedicate a separate circuit or shut off any thing else on same cir, as it will blow ur breaker after @ 1-2 mins of welding. I learned this when I had 2 lights and a fan on same 20a breaker as welder. once turned off welder worked great. I can recommend this welder, and another tip...get 1lb spools of Lincoln .030/.035 wire for better weld quality, i use .035.

Affordable and does a great job
I'm not a welder by any means. But this welder did what I needed. The frame body mount in the picture is thick steel. It's tacked in place. I'll go back and finish it. There are YouTube videos that gave great reviews and ranked it in the top five.

Dangerous out of the box - starts welding without pulling the trigger
I just tested the unit today on 22-gauge metal. When I brought the handle with the flux core wire close to the metal, it started to weld without me pulling the trigger. And the settings appear to not be working. Example: the wire speed was set on 1, power low, and the other setting (1/2) on 1. When the weld started without pulling the trigger as I got close to the location to weld, it immediately melted a hole through. This is dangerous stuff. But I don't quit easily so I have arranged for Amazon to replace it and try one more time. There have been good reviews so I owe it to myself to try again after the replacement. I'm wondering if anyone else had this problem out of the box?

Excellent Value
First of all, throw the wire away as soon as you open the box and get some Forney .30 flux core. With that out of the way, I didn’t buy their wire, I bought their welder, and their welder is fantastic!! I love this little thing. It’s my new little buddy. I only wish the leads were about 3-5 feet longer. I have to work in close quarters with this, but my ass is planted in a chair anyhow, so I suppose it doesn’t matter. The welder is worth every penny, period!

Bang for your buck
Great little welder, I was hesitant on buying this but ended up working better than expected. Came with everything needed and worked perfect. Welded up my custom exhaust and the bead was surprisingly decent. Would definitely recommend if someone is looking for a cheap welder just to get the job done.
