Bought as Christmas present for my son and he loved them.

Everybody got really great gifts at our family Christmas party, but these were the biggest hit by far! The adults in the room were all old enough to remember floppies, so we all got a big kick out of them. I was the lucky person who thought to buy them for my brother. I'm now going to buy more for everyone else in the family since they loved them so much, myself included! For absorbency, they don't actually *absorb water but they prevent it from getting on your table just the same. They are super easy to clean, and you can take a sharpie and write what you want on them, if you like. They do come with various labels already on them, which I didn't notice when I bought them. But that doesn't bother me, nor bother anyone else. The novelty far exceeded any annoyance that might be had by the existing writing. Giftability is definitely the reason to buy these (weather for yourself or someone else). If you brought them to a white elephant, I guarantee they would be traded until the trade limit was hit. They're so cute and indistinguishable from real "floppy discs," until you pick them up and find out that they are actually floppy, made of silicone. The only reason why I took off one star, is I do feel they are overpriced. I would say this is a $10 item, not a $15 item. Then again, I realize prices are higher these days, between Christmas and supply shortages. If you're on the fence, just go for it.

I purchased these retro coasters for work months back and I really like them! I share them with my office mate, and he got a kick out of them. They work really well to protect our desk from cold and hot beverages alike. I really haven't had to clean them, but they're silicone which is easy to clean. All my coworkers think they're funny and have mentioned they like them.
