How thick are they?

At the edges, I'd say about 2.5 mm, or about 3/32". It's hard to say because they're contoured and the thickness probably is greater away from the edges. As someone who's subject to blisters because of the shape and narrow width of my heel, I'd say give them a try. They prevent rubbing at the heel not only by cushioning the foot but by filling the shoe (but just a relatively tiny bit).

Question 2

Sizing - men's.  packaging says it goes to men's size 11 - i wear an 11.5.  will these be ok or do i have to search for a larger size?

Hi, Achilles Shield vertical insoles are recommended for use up to size 11 shoes. Any larger, and the vertical portion of the insole is not likely to reach the top of your shoe heel counter. We plan to release a larger size in the future. You can still try them in the meantime since they will offer some resistance and spacing even if they don’t come up all the way. You can always request a return if it doesn’t work.

Question 3

are they available in larger sizes? I wear size 14 shoes and always wear our the heel area which in turn makes my heel sore.

Hi, size 11 is the max. Any larger and the vertical portion of the insole is not likely to reach the top of the heel counter of your shoe. You can still try, since they do provide some resistance and spacing between your heel and your shoe even if they don’t come all the way to the top of your shoe. You can always request a return if they don’t work. We hope to come out with a larger size in the future.

Question 4

Does this achilles shield, heel blister prevention & protection by vertical insoles have an adhesive back so it attaches to shoe?

No adhesive. It stays in place pretty well but if you throw your shoes down the heel cup may dislodge. I considered tape or glue but decided to quit throwing my shoes at the closet. I liked these well enough that I got a second pair for my other pair of shoes.
