Question 1

Can i use the hi ouput speaker wire instead of rca?

Accepted Answer

Won't make much difference. The amp is not high power. Rated at 400 watts max, but doesn't put out that much.

Question 2

Can this speaker be used without a stereo? I'd like to access with my iPhone for music and don't want a stereo in my classic car. Options?

Accepted Answer

I don't know what kind of car you have that doesn't have a radio or where you would want to put it but any bluetooth speaker should work and you can power it off the 12v battery easy enough. Something like this maybe https://www.amazon.com/Bose-SoundLink-Bluetooth-Portable-Waterproof/dp/B099TJGJ91/ref=b2b_gw_d_simh_sccl_1/136-8952024-7845719?pd_rd_w=bvp6n&content-id=amzn1.sym.24d74000-a233-4751-a2d1-d95340c9b35d&pf_rd_p=24d74000-a233-4751-a2d1-d95340c9b35d&pf_rd_r=FWT4AM210NATNMJBQE11&pd_rd_wg=K7vz9&pd_rd_r=60afeb00-e88e-4f15-9ccb-adeb7d3d38c5&pd_rd_i=B099TJGJ91&th=1 Ive also seen people use a bluetooth to fm radio adapter that changes the bluetooth signal into a fm radio signal for classic car that just had the radio like this https://www.amazon.com/Bluetooth-FM-Transmitter-Wireless-Adapter/dp/B07F2RTN5Z/ref=sr_1_13_sspa?crid=1FUFAUQ0MHCX0&keywords=bluetooth+to+fm+transmitter+for+car&qid=1653928276&s=electronics&sprefix=bluetooth+to+fm%2Celectronics%2C96&sr=1-13-spons&psc=1&smid=AV1T89F2ZV5YD&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEzTFg0TDNDVUlBVFkxJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwNjEyMTUyM1ZRUk1BWEZLVTkxRyZlbmNyeXB0ZWRBZElkPUEwOTEwNDA1MUlSMjBMWUlDQjZVSSZ3aWRnZXROYW1lPXNwX210ZiZhY3Rpb249Y2xpY2tSZWRpcmVjdCZkb05vdExvZ0NsaWNrPXRydWU=

Question 3

Is it mountable?

Accepted Answer

Yes it came with little bracket to bolt down when I purchased mine

Question 4

Are these water resistant marine grade?

Accepted Answer

Let me put it like this, there's no ipx rating on it, if you get a lot of moisture on it and or splash water on it it may burn out it's an open speaker on the back water looks like it would be able to get in there. If you're going to use it on a boat or somewhere with water make your own sealed box where you know water won't get in.
