Great value for introductory surfskate/surf trainer
A phenomenal value for an introductory/ Carver knockoff surfskate/ surf trainer at $159. Incredibly fun learning to pump, carve, make larger surfboard/ funboard like turns. At 33", it allows for a wider, more realistic surf stance and requires an occasional pedal push to maintain adequate speed after linking a lot of carving turns. Some surfskates are shorter and therefore have a more skateboard feel. I wanted something to help with my surfing. After a month of contemplation and lots of fun riding this surfskate, I finally treated myself and splurged on the top notch Smoothstar Felipe Toledo 77. What a difference! This Flow Surfskate is incredibly fun and helped me get ready for the 77 which is on another performance level. The 77 allows me to realistically practice high performance shortboard surfing maneuvers. It feels exactly like a high performance shortboard. I now use this Flow board to introduce beginners and an occasional longboarder to surfskating. They all love it and want to get one. It is a phenomenal value. The ride is slightly different from the Smoothstar, less responsive with a bigger turning radius, and requires an occasional pedal push. If you have the means, patience, and determination to learn, the Smoothstar Felipe Toledo 77 is a more advance surf trainer/ surfskate that you won't outgrow. It can be a bit too squirrelly and challenging for beginners. Obviously there is absolutely no need for an occasional push pedalling. That said, this Flow surfskate is a great value, very fun in itself, and a very good surf trainer but it also got me ready for the Smoothstar Felipe Toledo 77, the most realistic surf trainer out there.

Not even close to the quality of a carver
I thought this would be a cheaper carver like option but the quality was a letdown. It is cheaper but it would need to be a lot cheaper to justify this over the real thing. The wheels feel very plastic like and not high quality rubber. The graphics are so so and cheap looking, wood is definitely not of high quality. And the trucks make a creaky noise when weighted back and forth. Sent it back and just ponied up for the real thing.

Okay carver board for starting out
Good for starting and trying out, it's an okay board. I got some Carver brand trucks later which are much better, however, this complete setup is the cost of the carver trucks alone. The front-truck spring can be a bit creaky (WD40) and the bearings are the lowest quality (will need to replace). The older deck with the pointy nose is a very nice shape in terms of tail flip and curve allowing you to grip and dig in for power, feels a tad heavy for 5 layer plyboard, don't know about the newer square nose version. Basically you pay for what you get with this.

Great buy!
Take this thing out a lot. Ride for 10 to 15min on level ground without pushing once, at a pretty good speed to. Worth the money

Amazing ride
The spring in the trucks takes so getting used to. But once you get used to it. It’s the smoothest and most effortless ride ever

Super fun and easy board to learn to surfskate!
Product is awesome. I am 38 years old and needed something to keep up with my 6 year old son on his bike and push scooter. This was it! Push off once and carve from side to side to maintain momentum. I do recommend getting some wrist guards in the inevitable situation you fall.

Great carver immitation
I have 5 days of continuos ride with this surfskate and it has been a blast. My friends that have carvers found this board incredibly good for the price. It has a really smooth custom ride and lets you improve in your surfing abilities.
