The new superfood - try it.
I had never heard of teff and was inspired to try it after getting my instapot. I must say, it's a delightful grain. The texture is like cream of wheat, but nuttier and richer. Filling, tasty, healthy and apparently it (allegedly) helps you to absorb important vitamins/minerals like iron and zinc. I've been very happy with the speed of delivery and the quality of this product.

Delicious
I mainly use this as a breakfast treat. In describing this grain, it reminds me most of creme of wheat, which I grew up enjoying. However, Teff is naturally slightly sweet, with a slight nutty flavor, where creme of wheat was pretty bland. I prepare 4 to 5 serving at a time, and than a add a little water, and microwave to warm up the leftover. It should be noted, Teff gets very dry when refrigerated, and requires stirring when reheating, to regain its original consistency. The cooked grains do stick together, after cooling. I follow this same process with my extra cooked steel cut oats, and they return to their original consistency, with not near this much effort. However, Teff is worth all your efforts, and I am glad I discovered this wonderful grain.

Love it
delicious flavor used to make my hot cereal ( with dates) - like it better than Cream of Wheat - easy to prepare - great for sensitive stomachs - Teff actually has 50 percent more protein, five times the fiber, and 25 times more calcium than brown rice- high in iron - more calcium and vitamin C than almost any other grain - much of its fiber is a type known as resistant starch, which has been linked in studies to health benefits such as improved blood sugar.very small about the size of poppy seeds

I just ordered some more.
I had eaten injera, the teff-based Ethiopian bread, and truly disliked it. It tasted sour and looked like a towel. It don't know why I tried teff after that. I had low expectations. I sauted it with some olive oil, onions and seasoning (ras al hanut, but almost any seasoning would work), then cooked it in broth. It was delicious: nutty, a very little bit sweet and warming. The texture is smooth with a little pleasant graininess. It is a perfect starch to serve with any meal. You can dress it up with nuts, dried fruit, vegetables, protein. I just ordered some more.

BEST LAXATIVE ON THE MARKET!!!
I cooked up a half cup of this for breakfast, and sprinkled some Ceylon cinnamon and honey on it. That was at 6:30 AM and by 10 AM all hell broke loose in stall #3 at work. Iโve never had both feet come off the floor in an involuntary reflex as i reached for something to hold onto. This evacuation was similar to an exorcism, and every demon that ever lived inside of me has now been expelled. I feel lighter, happier, and feel like everything is going to be ok; life has a new purpose. Thank you, Maskal Teff! I will make sure to never be without you. It tasted pretty good too; like Cream of Wheat with smaller grains.

Tasty grain i add to my oatmeal
I make oatmeal for breakfast almost every day and have done so for many years. I usually add blueberries, bananas and pumpkin seeds. I learned about teff several years ago and began including a little teff in my oatmeal. I cook about 1/16th of a cup of teff in 1.3 cups of water for 10 minutes and then add 1/2 cup of oatmeal for another five minutes. It tastes quite different from plain oatmeal and seems to give me even more energy. And it all tastes really yummy. Writing this has made me hungry for some right now!

Hardy meal
I enjoyed the grain cereal, it's like eating cream of wheat only smoother and hardy. All I added was 1 tablespoon of peanut butter ๐ฅ.I found in the internet receipes to make bread ๐, pancakes, and muffins.I plan on trying out these recipes beside the porridge style. What a difference in trying out new food.Thank you ๐

Not Great
The product is very good quality. It's just not my kind of food. Very hard to make if you're inexperienced andto me, not worth the effort. It really needs to be soaked overnight, which the directions on the package do not recommend. Buyer beware, or should I say, eater beware?
