So I thought, I purchased one of these thinking it would be perfect for an eight-year-old boy for Christmas. Even though I have five large RC Boats, I'm keeping this one and buying another one for the young guy. Even my wife said she liked it, and that's significant praise from someone who keeps telling me I have too many boats. Let me list the good points about this boat. It came with everything with a rechargeable battery pack for the controller. All you need to get this little thing into the water. If you lift it out of the water, the motor is inhibited and won't start again until its back in the water.

We bought two boats, one works quite well (Red) and one, not so well (Blue). The blue boat has a terrible battery which from the first use only worked for 1 minute, all while the red boat ran for a straight 10+ minutes. This problem was consistent with the battery which came with the blue boat, didn’t matter which boat we put the bad battery into, always ran dead after 1 minute. And, the blue boat has a perpetual problem with the rudder steering left. Not sure why. Would like to contact the seller and ask for replacement boat.

My 13 yr old son is loving this! Just received it today and the battery charged quick. Also he's been playing with it in the pool for quite awhile now and the battery is still going strong. Only neg is I bought 2 so my step daughter can use one too and I didn't find a way to change the channel/frequency so one remote controls both. But it's pretty cool to see 2 screaming around the pool in unison lolUpdate!! I knocked 2 stars off my previous rating because the 2nd time I charged one of the batteries the charger got really warm almost hot and no light on it so we used our other charger for both batteries. I'm going to return one of the 2 boats I ordered.

Short battery life... like, super short. Less than 3 minutes of proper speed. Turning while throttling seems to kill the battery almost immediately. Short range for controller. Easily blocked by pool wall. Controls are not proportional. So controlling the boat is an all or nothing event. Full throttle, full rudder, or nothing, etc. If you’re looking for something with any amount of finite proportional control; look elsewhere. Would not recommend.

Super Fun! Perfect size & speed for an 18’ pool. Easy for kids, challenging races for adults. Haven’t always been able to auto flip, but maybe it’s a skill. First couple of days have been a blast! Other posts talk about battery life but I would say it’s just right for size and cost. Got an extra battery to keep the party going! Be sure to order 2 separate boats with different frequencies and you have all you need.

This was purchased for my sons birthday. When it originally arrived it did not have the charger. I reached out to the company who insisted that I allow them to send out another boat as going through Amazon would be more work. First red flag! I was told that a new boat was being sent out and it should arrive in 6-8 days on 6/16. On 6/28 I reached back out to get the status of the new boat and was told that there was a miscommunication and they had not shipped anything out, and for me to please let them know if I wanted a new one and they would ship it out. Second red flag! Now the boat finally arrives on 7/11, conveniently a day after I can return the item for a refund, and the new one worked for 30 mins and now will not work again! I am beyond upset and will be reaching out to the company again requesting my money back.

Bought two boats on this page for my grandsons but they were on the same frequency. They were both RED 27mhz. I sent one back, and ordered the TR-800B (RED): https://www.amazon.com/Top-Remote-Control-Perfect-TR-800B/dp/B01J4EK6XS/ref=sr_1_1?s=toys-and-games&ie=UTF8&qid=1469556399&sr=1-1&keywords=tr-800b. It was not on Prime shipping, but was a different frequency (49mhz) even though it was also RED. So, the color doesn't seem to have anything to do with the frequency which was confusing from the description and even the emails I got from the seller.Fun little boats though, once we got them right.

It goes really fast and my 7 year old loves it. We bought an extra battery to extend our playing time. I would buy it again.

The battery only lasts 2 minutes and also when it is working it goes not bad but it has times when it barely goes until just before the battery dies I don’t recommend it.
