Auto Feed Soldering Gun, 60W Automatic Soldering Iron Gun with Detachable Solder Wire Bracket and On/Off Switch, Electronics Soldering Iron Gun

I was attempting to solder wires in the boot of my car, around a corner and in between other objects. No chance of holding the wires and the soldering iron whilst trying to solder. This device allowed me to use one hand. Made things much easier - not sure I could have done the job if I also had to hold soldering wire! I didn't expect the trigger action to feed solder to work as well as the advert stated. But it does, easy to manipulate the speed and amount of solder and doesn't get stuck - which was something I thought might happen.

Soldering iron works really well - much better than having to feed the solder by hand. Takes fairly generic hollow tips for other shapes - meaning you can use this for bigger work than electronics, it has the power. First one I received was unfortunately faulty, but the seller was brilliant and really quick to get that sorted out so I had a working iron.

Much easier to use this soldering gun as it has the solder feed mechanism so no fiddling round with solder in one hand and iron in other , good product . makes soldering much easier

Bought this for my sons birthday. He has used it with my husband and found it easy to use. Good value for money and quick delivery.

AVOID!!! Blew up whilst using it for a second time. Absolutely awful quality.

Purchased this hoping it would make soldering a dream - unfortunately it came with no pamphlet to explain how to use it. It was only when I came back and checked this page that I realised my trigger must be broken because it doesn't feed the solder through - I couldn't tell initially because the whole thing felt very lightweight and flimsy. This kind of undermines the point in the product, as I now have to use it as a normal soldering iron by feeding the solder to the needle manually - meaning it hasn't solved the soldering problem of needing 3 hands. If anything, this is actually made harder due to its shape. If I'd have known, I would have purchased a normal soldering iron. Value for money due to the price and the 'extras' included but these are largely nice-to-haves which I am yet to use.

Works just fine, used on 3 jobs already. The initial loading of the solder needs a bit of care to get it to feed cleanly, but the access hatch makes this easy. No instruction leaflet, but doesn't really need one.

No need for three hands or the restrictions of a bench mounted clamp. Work can be undertaken in situ, the tip heats quickly and the temperature can be adjusted with a thumb as the solder is advanced as required with the trigger . Only reservation is that it is a very light weight tool of thin plastic which may not have a long lifespan. But I rarely use a soldering iron, so that is unlikely to be a problem for me and at the price it would not be a massive burden to replace.
