This book is not for beginners!If you know what partial capos can do and want to explore some of the most exotic tuning environments possible on a guitar, this collection of Harvey Reid's previous books on the subject is an incredible resource.Maybe the compilation could be better written or organized somehow but there's really nothing else like it, no one is writing about partial capos and their use quite like Harvey Reid.This guide is extremely useful and reasonably comprehensive--there are multitudes of different tunings and chords made possible through the use of partial capos and no book is going to be able to describe and provide chord charts for them all (but Harvey Reid has tried!).

The book is a second rate product with pages stuck together and incorrect cutting of pages leaving stubs in the book.The chords provided are mostly useless for the beginner.Could not recommend this book.

This book is just wonderful. Right off the bat I got new ideas for songs. The research in staggering. Nice job Mr. Reid!!

This guide is really well written and laid out. I've really enjoyed it and it has had a significant impact on my playing already. Very simple and straightforward. Really a lot of fun

Harvey Reid has set the standard when it comes to creating music with the Partial Capo. This special capo can open doors for the musician searching for that "Special" sound. Besides being fairly easy to adapt to, the sound of the guitar sings with new voicings.I started playing with partial capos about 5 or six years ago. I was fortunate enough to have Mr. Reid as an instructor at a summer music camp one year and discovered that this is a new universe of sound. I started studying using one of Mr. Reid's chord books.Then I discovered the BIG BOOK and was blown away. There is nothing left out of this collection. It will keep you busy experimenting for the sound that will bring your songs and tunes to a never heard before magic.You won't be disappointed with this Book.Great Job Harvey!
