These are beautiful knives. Compared to other high end knives , how well do they hold their edge?

They didn’t have an edge to start I would go for high end knives over these, These knifes are not worth the price

Yes, my Son-in-law says there are full tang through the handle. He really likes them. Since they are made of high carbon steel and not stainless, he sprays them down with olive oil after cleaning them.

Are they already Sharp

Not as sharp as they should be. Also They come wrapped in oiled paper so be careful to clean them 2 or 3 times with hot water and a soft sponge or you will get black stains on your food from the dye used to etch the Damascus patterns Being carbon steel, these also need to be oils lightly after each use to prevent rusting. I suggest using Canola oil for coating the blades, as it doesn't go rancid or get gummy

where are these made?

I believe out East Taiwan or something or other if I remember right messaging with them wasn’t the greatest best they had was broken English
