Feit Electric A21 LED Light Bulb, 200W Equivalent, Non-Dimmable, 3050 Lumens, E26 Standard Base, 5000k Daylight, High Output LED Bulb, Damp Rated, 22 Year Lifetime, OM200/850/LED

For years, I have been searching for a suitable LED bulb for an old torchiere lamp that normally uses a 300W mogul base incandescent bulb. The old and big 300W GE incandescent bulbs work great but they draw a lot of electricity, get hot, don't last very long, and have gotten expensive. Finally Feit came out with this standard base bulb but with the wattage equivalent and size of a mogul base 300W incandescent.I simply put a mogul-to-standard base adapter in and presto chango, I now have a super bright replacement that uses 1/10th the power. Very happy to have found this! I knocked one star off only because I've had it for a whole 5 hours and don't know if it will last. They say 25,000 hours but there are other reviews that state it went dim after a while so the jury is out for now. If it remains like it is now, it's a home run upgrade!

Bought these for my mom who is legally blind and they definitely help her see much better with what little vision she has left. They are rather big and will fit in regular light sockets but I had to leave off the covers on the overhead lights once they were in. So if you care about that, you might want to consider overhead lights that can accommodate the largeness of the bulb.

Attached photo is from a distance of about 50 feet. It really does the bulb justice and says pretty much everything. The bulb is fairly big, so I had to do a bit of brute force engineering on the outdoor fixture to make it fit.I'm using this with a GE Cync smart switch and so far it's working just fine.

Ok, but I needed one that works with wifi. I returned this one.

I've been using these Feit 300W A23 LED bulbs for a few years now in 2 post lamps. 2 of the bulbs over that time have dimmed and needed a replacement, so this time I pulled the new bulb out of the package and then after unscrewing the old dimmed bulb out of the lamp I noticed that the new bulb was lighter than old dimmed bulb, but the new bulb was still as bright as the bulb in the other lamp. Weighing the bulbs had the old dimmed bulb at 300 kg but the new bulb was lighter (pun) at 100 kg, so maybe the insides of the new bulb has been improved and is more reliable than the older heavier bulbs.

Received Aug 9, installed on standard switch (not dimmed) in front hallway that gets turned on only a few times a day, died in early December.Was plenty bright when it worked but not worth the money for a an LED that only lasts a few months.
