Can I connect these in either series or parallel to get more 'end result' power?

A voltage controller is required for multiple times. Typically 2 tiles 1 controller voltage varies by temperature differential this requires minimum and maximum safety Thermal circuit breakers at effective for over voltage. Diodes can be used for voltage control these act as a bypass for your buck converter.

Can I operate the cold side with 12vdc, apply a heat source, and harvest any power generated? Is it possible?

You can apply a heat source to one end, and a cold source to the other and generate about 1.5v of electricity per generator.

Will one of these run a larger electric motor?

It's only going to realistically generate just over a volt of electricity with about 150 degree temp difference between the 2 sides

Are these tec or teg tiles?

#21745 is a teg thermal different Generator. TEG is thermal electric Generator number determines the temperature range this is for low temperatures below 200)° f. Perfect for air cooling
