Can you just leave them in the pool, or do they eventually deflate and/or get chlorine damage?

I enjoy my lights but they are stained and I haven't found anything to clean them with that works. What should I clean them with?

We've tried bleach and still cannot get ours to clean. The stains are in in top of the balls, very ugly during the day.
