We have a terrible vole problem. Are these too big to fit in vole holes?

We used them for gophers. I don't think we had a problem with voles. Sometimes the holes would be a bit small. We would just dig a little dirt out, stick them in and cover them up and they worked just fine. Good luck with your pest problem. They can be a real nuisance. The Giant Destroyers worked better than anything else we found or tried.

We are leaving town for a week - would this be safe to use in our crawlspace before we leave to kill mice?

Not only are the fumes deadly, you have to light it on fire. Not safe to use anywhere like a crawlspace!

What works for chipmunks?

The Giant Destroyer gas sticks will work for chipmunks. They do a great job on the ground squirrels I use them on and they're about the size of a chipmunk. Find both entries to the burrow. Cover or fill in one end. Light and insert the gas stick into the other end and cover the hole with a piece of wood or a rock. I use cardboard cut to size and covered with aluminum foil but you can use anything non-flammable that will seal the hole. Spread some dirt around the edges to ensure a good seal. If you think the burrow is long (over 15 feet), use 2 gas sticks.
