Foamily 12 Pack- Acoustic Panels Studio Foam Wedges 1" X 12" X 12"

These are decent panels. They're manufactured well. They won't correct standing bass (you'll need bass traps for that) but for high frequency reflections, they do the job effectively. When it came time to affix these to the walls, I poured over YouTube videos and discussion threads. I needed to avoid damage to my rented walls. I was primarily concerned with how to get whatever adhesive I used to stay fastened to the porous foam. The goal was to use Command Strips to fasten to the wall and use some other adhesive to create a bonding surface on the foam to attach the Command Strips to. I tried tacky glue (fail: never dries), super glue (fail: eats the foam without creating a bond) and duct tape (fail: sticks at first, then peels off easily after 5 minutes). The final solution was much easier than expected: just use Command Strips. They work perfectly on their own. First attach 2 strips to the upper corners of a foam square, pressing them into the foam as firmly as you can for about 10 seconds. This creates a PERMANENT bond between the strips and the foam. This bond is so secure that attempting to remove the strip will cause a perfectly strip-sized portion of the foam to come off. Then simply press the foam squares to the wall. Done. Works perfectly. The foam stays attached and finishing the job is QUICK. Excellent value for budget acoustic treatment.

These really soak high frequencies. I have a large sound system with many Klipsch speakers. I love the sound of my Klipsch speakers, but lately I have had problems with my ears. Ear pain mostly but nothing severe, it's mostly mild and not too constant. I decided to buy these foam panels since I have read that high and mid high frequencies are what our ears are really sensitive to. On many websites I have read that cheap foam like this is bogus and that you are not going to get anything out of it. Now I know for sure that a lot of the so called audiophile world if full of pretentious elitism. After installing nine out of the twelve panels I was ready to try them out. I had Oasis's "Be Here Now" in the CD player and I was hesitant to use that as my first test. "Be Here Now" is a loud record, it will assault your ears with lots of treble. I was blown away by what I heard, the record was tamed! It sounded so warm, so balanced, it was no longer loud fuzzy music. So yeah these really work.

These work well for reducing high frequency reflections in a home studio or recording space and the price makes it easy to buy enough to actually make a real difference. They are on the thinner side but for the cost you can cover a lot of wall without spending a ton of money. Command strips work really well for mounting them if you are in a rental and do not want to put holes in the wall.

Wow! Ok I was totally skeptical when i ordered this. We rent and the doors in the hours are crap and super thin. I got these and put them on the inside (back of the door) of my 2 year olds room. It was horrible everything would wake him up. So I got these. I ordered the 12 pack because I wasn’t sure how many i needed. Should’ve gotten a bigger pack. 12 doesn’t cover the entire door. Needed three more. Even with the three missing at the top these work so well!!! I was so skeptical when I got them because they are super light and seem really thin. But I put them up anyway I figured it’s better than nothing. I am so shocked how much they actually block out even with a few missing !!! I highly recommend them!!!

These panels look decent, and look the part, but it feels very thin and lightweight. It needs to be made from more dense foam, and in this case you'll definitely get what you pay for. Maybe even a little less. I believe the ridges help break up the sound waves simply based on their shape, but I suspect that the absorption of sound waves are lacking due to the material being too lightweight. I wouldn't recommend these for any professional uses, and I will be looking for better quality wedges myself.

I bough this to make a portable sound booth and it really did it's job. Although I am not an audio engineer and I'm sure there is better sound proofing out there, but this was great for what I needed. I could hear the different in the sounds I recorded with this installed in my booth. The great thing is that it comes with many pieces so I was able to use some for my booth, a few pieces for my streaming setup and some for my son's room for his streaming setup. Pretty good for the price.

I bought these to install in a small recording booth. Absorption is great. I'm not sure how I'd rate adhesion since you have to buy an alternate method to stick to them. I just used double sided tape and they stuck right to it. Downside is since the material is thin and inexpensive, you could do what I did and when pulling one off, tear a small hole in the material. I used these in another booth built with moving blankets and used double sided tape and fabric glue. They're still up there.

I am not a fan of this product. I purchased several boxes of this so I could cover the bare walls of my voiceover booth. As a beginner voiceover artist, I didn’t have a budget to spend thousands on the expensive foam, so I thought I’d give this a try. I learned my lesson. I was disappointed to discover this foam made very little difference. In fact, I had a couple of studios reject my auditions recorded in this booth, saying it sounded like I was recording in a room with bare walls! I ended up purchasing four moving blankets for $12 and covered my walls with that, and now I have great sound! Too bad I wasted $200 on this stuff. It’s basically so thin, the sound was going right through it to my walls and bouncing right back. In fact, the material is thin to the point the sections can easily be separated (ripped) by hand. Several pieces came with holes in them. Yes, the mistakes of a beginner. I now look at it as an expensive lesson. The old saying “you get what you pay for” definitely rings true here.

If you guys are entering into Studio and YouTube works, you should definitely buy these Foam Panels. They do the best job for what you pay for.

The foam is not dense enough to absorb sound for studio audio recording, could not completely understand from product description. It feels light in hand. Maybe value for others but didn't work for my case.
