It fits perfectly with my Honda car key. The original key swaps over easily, and everything aligns as expected without any issues. It feels like a solid replacement housing that keeps the key compact and functional.

These works great for Mr 2009 CRV. I had to do a very small modification by making two small cuts on the inside. Works great I would strongly recommend.

Based on other reviews here, I almost didn't buy this item. There are too many "It doesn't fit!" reviews. However, it looks like all the other offers here, so based on (cost, delivery speed, etc.) I took a chance on this one. It turns out: it fits! It took nearly an hour to figure out how to make it fit. Nothing I did would make the key blade fit. The case wouldn't close. I had a small saw ready to shave part of the inside. Here is the final trick to make this work: After you slide in your key blade into the thin key holder (the part that slides over the blade, to the bottom), this thin piece will match into one half of the fob case. The other half, though, it will not match. On *that* half, place your key flat, then slide that forward into the blade opening -- it's "forward" to slide it in, *not* "press it down" as would make sense. Then you can place the other half of the case on top, and click them together -- then screw them together. The included screw works also, even though it's a different length and pointy-ness than the original screw. (I hope my text description helps someone. A video might have been easier to understand. :) )

My original fob case (on the left in this photo) broke apart after 15 years of use. The key and buttons still worked fine, but the case cracked and crumbled apart. The Honda dealer told me the replacement part has the key shaft unified with the front of the case, so my only OEM option would be to replace the entire key, including recutting and reprogramming, for $240. This product solved the problem for $10! I bought the 2-pack because it's inexpensive and I wanted spare parts in case one of the pieces wasn't perfect or I dropped a screw. Some assembly tips: In the original fob, the key shaft is indeed screwed and glued to the front of the case, so peel off any plastic remnants from the shaft and clean off the glue residue. You want to start with a nice clean key shaft. I needed to use needle nose pliers to insert the key shaft fully into the provided sleeve, and also to slide the shaft/sleeve assembly fully into the slot in the new case. It's important to get it in there fully so the case will close and the screw holes will line up. Then screw it together and you're good to go! This case might be a little less sturdy than the original, but not by much. I ordered a silicone cover to hopefully make it last longer.

Package arrived quickly. The "brains" of the key fit well into the new case. Size of the new case matches the size of the original case. Here's the thing... The replacement screw provided is not even close to fitting. So, you have to use the original screw. The whole thing was very tricky to put together. Also, I did not use the tiny screwdriver provided. All-in all, it did fit and it does work, but I really do question the strength. I was replacing the case for a Honda CRV 2008. No programming necessary as long as you have the original working brains.

Easy to replace and worried perfectly to replace my broken fob. The 2 pack was very economical.

Best of the bunch (aftermarket replacements) I've seen so far. One was a near perfect fit (just a bit of a bend gap, unnoticeable without a close inspection) and the other just needed a mild scrape with a utility knife to fit in a similar fashion. 10% of the cost of the OEM item, will outlast the car. When replacing, might as well also replace the CR1016 batteries. I found Amazon to be the best source of reasonably priced ones.

Key case is fine now, but I had to spend quite some time grinding out the internal section to get the main section to fit inside, but it’s in and working now.

The housing works with a 2007 Honda Civic. The key removal from the original housing was to use side cutters to get the key out of the callor. Putting the key into the new housing requires you to slide the key and callor into two slots of the housing The rest went together well. The directions were lame. Pictures would of been useful.

Both our original fob covers broke at the point where the metal part enters the case. These replacements feel sturdy and stronger than original. Both were a little hard to snap in and had a slight gap left on one side, but can't really complain for the price.
