I don't know if you can get covers for this particular wedge, but the one it came with is removable for washing. It has a zip to take it off

That really depends on the angle you prefer, if you want to be almost sat up you need an extra pillow I think. I've added some memory foam and find it's perfect now but I actually brought it as its the only way to get a truly firm pillow and on that score it's great.
