Is the included tubing .24" i.d. or o.d. ? why is there 3.3' of tubing if the unit only has 2' of head lift ?

Tubing is typically measured by outside diameter, where pipe is typically measured by inside diameter. Extended length tubing allows for coiling or indirect routing. You can estimate the flow rate to be inversely proportional to the vertical distance between the pump and the outlet end of the tube. I have had good success with 12-15" of height--yielding a slow, but steady flow rate.
