Works to dissolve styrofoam
The bottle of ethyl acetate is just a bottle of ethyl acetate. It arrived quickly and was as expected. I bought it with the intent to use it to dissolve styrofoam to create a "plastic goo" to use for sealing solar garden lights against water infiltration. Before I purchased the bottle I was unsure if it would dissolve styrofoam. I could find very little online about ethyl acetate and styrofoam. In fact I only found one page that even mentioned ethyl acetate, and it implied it might dissolve styrofoam, but never really said it would. After receiving the bottle, I put a small amount into a glass container and added some broken up styrofoam pieces. And indeed, it does dissolve styrofoam just fine. I have not yet had a chance to test the "plastic goo" that results from dissolving a fair amount of styrofoam into the ethyl acetate, if it works as expected that will be great. But even if it does not seal as expected, that won't be the fault of this product. So I'm pleased with the purchase as it is performing the task I bought it for very well.

Follow instructions + Using Wisely = Good Outcome
I tried this as it was recommended for smoothing PLA 3D prints. I really liked the way it worked, as long as you 1) Do Not Overwork the application, and 2) Wait long enough to finish sand the project. Oh yeah, WEAR a respirator during application!! This has a strong and piercing odor. It doesn’t take very much at a time, so this size bottle should last for many many projects.

Arrived intact and works for my application
I got this to clean model railroad track and it works better than any other substance I have tried. You have to be careful as it will dissolve styrene plastic and paint, but that just opens up other uses.

Works well in an insect killing jar.
Arrived on time, well packed without any sign of leakage. Clearly labeled. I purchased this to use in a killing jar for insects that I collect for macro-photography. It works well for this purposed.

Great for styrene
Excellent cement for building models with styrene. Much less expensive than Testor's, and smells better, too.
