Desert Essence Green Apple and Ginger, Volumizing Shampoo, 8 oz

Great shampoo if you don’t want something heavy and oily, but not stripping like clarifying shampoo. Truly smells like apples and at the time of this review it says no artificial fragrances. I like it a lot. I have very long hair that is pretty thick and pretty straight for the most part. Hope this helps!

***update**** I continued to use this product for more than one week and have to say that the longer I used it, the better my hair became and the less product I have to use. My hair has not gotten thicker, but I do think that it has less damage and now responds better to hair care products and is now looking healthier. Product has a nice scent. And it cleans the hair. The reason for the docked stars are: 1. Amount of product required needed to produce a lather in order to clean my hair. 2. Cost of the product in. Relations to Amish t needed for washing 3. I needed to do a second wash - as I am disabled this took needed energy requirements for bathing. This may not be important to some - but I bought this needing a very gentle shampoo for my scalp. I was willing to pay the cost for a quality product. However I do not feel as though this product has delivered on this particular endeavor.

Love this shampoo and conditioner. I have thin, fine hair and these make it feel so light, soft, and shiny!! The apple scent smells like a green apple blow pop which isn't fun. Just enough fragrance and not too overpowering.

Ehhh, its a conditioner. Worked fine. Not bad smelling. No miracles.

I have used this for many years, lathers nicely,vrinses well. I have sensitive skin. It's organic, smells so nice, I use it as a body wash and shampoo. Safe on little ones. Everything I use is organic in body care. I recommend this. No drying, no itchy scalp, washes hair well, removes oils, products, however I do not use hair sprays or shine creams. You don't need to with this product.

This smells wonderful in the shower without lingering afterwords. It cleans very well but it can be drying (I liked the same brand conditioner). But I would say the thickening part of the marketing is inaccurate. If anything, my hair seems thinner than before I started using it. Which is probably because the thickening product I previously used actually worked for that. Bottom line; if you’re just looking for a natural shampoo to clean your hair this will be fine.

This is an excellent volumizing shampoo for my fine wavy hair which I wash 3 times a week. This product creates lots of body in my hair without making it look frizzy or flyaway. It has natural ingredients and a very mild and fresh fragrance that doesn't linger like air pollution, nor does the scent cause any sensitivity for me (whereas strong and artificial fragrances do). The shampoo is thick and a little goes a long way. Excellent value for the price. There isn't anything I don't like about this shampoo, so I'm happy to recommend it highly to others with fine hair. By the way, the matching conditioner is also excellent for fine hair which needs both protection and body.

Smells good, and works like magic, but for those with a bit strong waviness in their hair, which gets tangled after drying and when brushing, i recommend using a conditioner on the tips, or argan oil, to help make combing easier
