If you put a heavy weight on it, let's say 200 pounds, and you push it, IS THE HANDLE STRONG ENOUGH NOT TO BREAK?

100% this cart has last years for me and I max it out at 300 pounds!! I take it off curbs, I’ve gone up curbs. And it folds up so well!! Just watch we’re you put your fingers when opening it does have a pinch point but I only did that once lol.

Are there plenty of areas to place bungees?

Yes, When I move several cases of wine I am able to run bungees side to side and front to rear to hole everything in place

Can you push this cart instead of pulling it? Would like to use it for dog shows to put a crate & chair on. Would prefer to push rather than pull.

Yes you can. This cart has the ability to push and pull with items on it. I use for my candle business and can push in almost 225 lbs at one time to a show event. I would suggest buying some bungee cords that fit your items that you plan on carrying on this cart for extra stability.

What is the black platform made of?

The black platform is heavy plastic. It is mounted on a metal frame. The cart is sturdy--we've had no problems with it.
