Bondo be bonding, yo. Capped the bottom of a newly usually sledge handle recently finished in a penetrating oil; no tape or other masking measures used. Oily residue created no issues with product bonding to oily wood and metal surfaces. All in place after 15-20 full force swings into large rocks. Have many smaller rocks and a handle that won't be wicking moisture into the split end grain causing premature damage. Smells like you don't want to have around while it dries but that's a boring show anyway!
