Hidden Valley Original Ranch Restaurant Style Dressing Recipe Mix, 0.4 Ounce (Package May Vary)

I just tried this for the first time and I’m very impressed. I started with about 2/3 cup of buttermilk when mixing it, then added just a little more at the end (probably about a tablespoon) until it reached the exact consistency and flavor I liked. It was super easy to adjust, and I love that you can control the thickness instead of being stuck with whatever comes in a bottle. For comparison, I’ve used the Hidden Valley bottled ranch many times, and there is a very clear difference — mostly in texture, but also in flavor. The bottled version is thicker and more uniform, but this packet mix has that distinct restaurant-style taste that I’ve always associated with truly good, homemade ranch. It’s the kind you get at restaurants that just hits differently — fresh, balanced, and way more flavorful. I’ve been searching for a bottled ranch that tastes like that and could never quite find it. This mix finally delivers that classic, incredible restaurant ranch flavor I’ve been looking for. I honestly don’t think I’ll be able to go back to the bottled version after this. If you love restaurant-style ranch, this is absolutely worth trying.

If you’ve ever eaten at Denny’s and have had their ranch or old spaghetti factory with their dressing, it’s more of a thinner consistency, but very flavorful. This is that. I used heavy cream watered down a bit to more of a milk consistency and it turned out just like the restaurant style. Not super thick but a little on the thinner side. Would definitely purchase this again.

The best tasting dressing by far.

This is the original hidden Valley Ranch mix. This is the one you had buttermilk to and the flavor mix is amazing. I think it’s much better than the one that you add regular milk to. I can’t say enough good things about the mix. It’s easy to mix up and have on hand. I use this with the sour cream for a chip dip or vegetable dip. I use this for all the recipes instead of the other mix that they have because I find it versatile and much more flavorful!

this is the amazing ranch you get at restaurants and not available at (my) box store. definitely cheaper than buying from a restaurant and much fresher.

I didn’t think this would taste any different than regular Hidden Valley, but the buttermilk and mayo makes a huge difference in the taste. It’s much more savory and thicker than the ranch in the bottle. It’s just as easy to make as the original dip and we ended up eating this with chicken wings. We also had it with salad a day later. It kept the original consistency and didn’t separate. Adding more buttermilk to change the thickness would be easy which is why it makes sense to make it fresh. Hidden Valley ranch is the best for a reason.

Almost as good as restaurant ranch. Just as good or better than bottled Hidden Valley.
