Organic Heirloom Starter Unlimited Usage Dehydrated Water Kefir Grains- Grown in Organic Specialty Sugars and Natural Spring Water - Organic, Vegan, Gluten-Free, and Caffeine-Free

These grains definitely are alive and grew well for me, i followed the manufacturer's instructions closely. They took a little longer than expected but they definitely came to life, the first ferment stage was not super obvious to me when it happened - i could see where someone may think the culture wasn't doing anything. The second ferment stage i added the solution to canned Pineapple with juice and by the next day it had produced a perfect fizzy drink. Keep in mind that in order to get the fizzy carbonated effect, you have to have the vessel pressurized (i used a quart canning jar).

Very disappointed. I WASTED 2/8.00 ORGANIC BOTTLES OF JUICE! I activated these grains EXACTLY as instructions indicated, and have had TWO failed attempts at making Kefir via fermentation which had ZERO fizz!I would be very leary to order these grains if I were you. A waste of time and money!!

Super easy to start! Almost too easy. Idk what to do with all this kefir now. Has a bit of a cheese smell, that im hoping to make into vegan cheese.

No what is is described as dose not say heirloom anywhere on package will update: 12 hours later in a room that is kept at 70 degrees in the closet it’s showing lots of activity works like a charm

These are not good kefir grains. They smell, well they smell exactly like something I’d rather not mention on here. Let’s just say they smell fishy and funky. They are also sad looking grains (maybe that explains the smell) they are very small and looked like they were melting away. After several days I haven’t seen any growth and they still stink. Do yourself a favor and order from Florida sun!

Once hydrated they were active and fun to use.

The package advertised 1/4 cup but there was only a teaspoon of kefir grains in the package and less than a quarter cup of fluid. Far less than advertised.

This is my first time ever getting into fermenting liquid and it has definitely had a bit of a learning curve, but let me tell you - Leeza has been so helpful to work with!
