They do have a xylitol flavor. You can definitely taste it, but it wasn't overwhelming to me. I was looking for sugar alternatives that aren't harmful, like aspartame. I've used xylitol before, not my favorite, especially since using it as a general sweetener, like for coffee, can give you diarrhea. But I figured having it in such a small amount, like a hard candy, would be fine. And it is. I usually take one little cane, break it up, and eat it throughout the day. So one candy cane a day and no issues. I can see how the xylitol flavor might turn some people off, though. It is pretty strong. I personally don't mind it with the stronger peppermint flavor. I kinda think they complement each other, but some people may not agree.

They are yummy and pretty clean.

As a parent, I am so excited to have these as a safe and healthy option for my kids! I am thrilled that they are not only organic, but they are dye-free and still taste delicious. My kids love these! They are the perfect festive sweet treat, and we love to adorn our coffee and hot coca mugs with these adorable mini candy canes! These are a must buy if you’re looking for a healthy no dye option for your kids!

'I love that these candy canes have "clean" ingredients. That's why I bought them. Many children in my church can't have food dyes. The flavor is nice as well. Traditional candy cane. I was a bit disappointed on 2 fronts, though. The red is a bit more pink (likely because of the natural dye) and the shape is much too short. I get that they are mini, but they basically have no "tail". Instead of being cane-shaped, they are more "U" shaped. I was using them as part of the Candy Cane myth and the shape is an essential part to the story.

Great alternative to regular candy canes that have dye. But they were all smashed, not a single one wasn’t broken and I ordered multiple boxes different shipments. All broken. Expensive for what they are. I will always get them every Christmas because it’s the only way I can let me kids enjoy candy canes, but it would be cool if they weren’t always broken.

YumEarth has great organic products. I love that they’re dye free. My kids love the taste. These mini candy canes made great stocking stuffers. Allergy friendly!

I originally found this product at my local Sprouts. But they sold out. It’s the first time in years I could safely eat a candy cane with my multiple food allergies. I purchased the mini candy canes. Just enough to enjoy. Able to use my candy bowls again. I love their lollipops but I prefer the canes. They haven’t broken. They taste great without the worry. So impressed with this product that I bought the Choco Yum chocolate candy too.

I really like the candy canes YumEarth makes. I've tried all three of the candy cane varieties they produced this past Christmas, and all of them have tasted good. I would definitely recommend their full size candy canes to anyone who's looking for allergy friendly options. I might also recommend these mini candy canes, but I would need to explain a few potential problems with them first. The first potential problem is that they seem very breakable. This ended up being a good thing for me, since it made it easier to eat the whole thing at once without having to break it myself, but it is either very difficult to get an entire mini candy cane out of the package intact or else they have the tendency to break in-transit. The larger variety of candy canes made by this brand we're not quite as breakable, so maybe try to purchase those ones if that's something that matters to you. The second potential issue is related to the first. It is a bit difficult to unwrap the mini candy canes. Much more difficult than it was to unwrap the full size candy canes from the same brand. Again, this wasn't really an issue for me, but it might have partially influenced how breakable the candy canes were. I did have one other issue with this product, however it might have just been due to where the item was stored before being shipped to me, and may have been out of the control of the seller. The candy cane box had a really strong smell when I got it (reminiscent of scented laundry detergent or a really strong air freshener). It gave me some problems due to my allergies. The scent didn't seem to have transfered to the candy canes though, so overall this was just a minor annoyance (I moved the candy canes to a ziplock bag after opening the box and had no problems with them after doing so). This was not an issue I had with any of the boxes of full size candy canes I purchased in a store, just the box of mini candy canes I purchased from Amazon.

I bought this product some time ago. I did not look at it until today. I started packing the Christmas stockings today and notice that there were only 11 canes in a box that was supposed to have 30. Some of them were broken and leaky and sticky. I have had to discard them all. I also noticed that the return date was 9 December so I cannot return the box as it is now the 16th. I was very disappointed to say the least. I would give the product a rating of minus 10 if I could. I had to chose 1 as it was the only options for a poor product

Packet says 30, only 25 inside packet. All candy canes were broken in at least one spot. Not great for the purpose of which I bought them for; to decorate a Christmas cake.

Lots of them were cracked and 2 opened and gone everywhere, everything was sticky
