Salter Digital Coffee Machine With 420 Ml Travel Mug, 750 W

Although we have a tassimo coffee machine, I wanted something simple and straightforward for an ordinary mug of coffee, so I spotted this on Amazon. Salter products are always very cheaply priced compared to most other brands, but having bought Salter Products before, and all of them doing what they are supposed to, I bought this. Only tried it tonight, having bought a packet of filter coffee in Sainsbury's. Machine comes with a travel mug, but instead I used a tall ceramic coffee mug. On first attempt, and in about 2 mins, a very warm mug of coffee was ready. The strength of coffee will depend on how much coffee you put into filter basket of machine. Not liking strong coffee, I used about 1 very heaped teaspoon of filter coffee for 1 mug full. It was perfect. Different strength and different flavours will all depend on which coffee, its strength and how much you use. There is a preset option on machine that can be used to prepare a coffee for a time in day of your choosing. Will probably never use this option as machine makes a perfect mug of coffee within minutes from pushing on/off button. Again, a great Salter product. Simple to use, works as it should, what more do you need for a basic mug of filter coffee. 10/10

You can trust Salter to produce quality goods at affordable prices and for this item they continue to do so. For a quick one cup with no fuss it's perfect. Cleaning the filter is a dream. Once its emptied just rinse and no stain, no blockage. The reservoir is a bit tricky as the back fill near the lid hinge is best overcome by using a small jug but as I'm arthritic it may be a subjective thing. The travel mug keeps the drink at perfect temperature and a broad band prevents burning your fingers. Excellent results and all round winner.

I have been using the Salter EK2732 Filter Coffee Maker for the past eight months and have been delighted with it. I only have one coffee a day and prefer fresh ground coffee over instant. I was finding that I was throwing away several cups by brewing in my French press so this machine seemed like a great solution as it only brews a single-serve cup. Pros: In terms of design, this fits in well with my kitchen. It's not bad looking for a coffee machine and its slim design means I can slot it to the back of the worktop without it taking over too much space. The 24-hour programmable timer works well. You just set it to the time you want to brew and leave it to do its magic. I use the timer function twice a week, but the rest of the time I just use the manual function to brew in the moment. It takes about 3-4 minutes to brew a mug's worth of coffee and it's relatively hot. Cons: The quality of the thermos mug provided with the machine isn’t the best but that’s the be expected for the price. It's also lacking a drip tray or anti-drip mechanism. To prevent it from dripping all over once the coffee has been brewed, I've had to put another cup underneath. My top tips: - Use the cup you intend to drink from as a measure for the amount of water, otherwise you'll end up adding too much, or too little water. - If you intend to use a 'real' mug and not the travel mug included, bear in mind that the height of the machine vs the mug may splash coffee onto your worktop service so put down a paper towel or mat to avoid a mess - Purchase some paper coffee filters instead of adding the coffee direct to the machine. It means you don't have to wash the filter every time, just rinse. I got biodegradable ones so it's super easy to lift down and recycle with my food waste.

I was shocked at how good the coffee tasted from this cheap little plasticky machine! I'm a big fan of filter coffee, but if I'm honest, I can't be bothered with the whole manual set up anymore.... goose neck kettles, correct pouring speed, timings etc. I bought a Nespresso machine to make life easier, but an Americano from it tastes like water, even if I added another espresso from a second pod, just nasty. It's fine with milk based coffees, but I missed a good filter coffee. I saw this machine advertised and the reviews on here were good, so I thought I'd give it a go. The first cup was nice, but there was a bit of sludge in the last mouth full from the cup. So I put in a Kalita Wave 155 paper filter in instead of the reusable filter and the sludge disappeared, that second cup was spot on. I had a great cup of coffee, so I've not used the reusable plastic filter that comes with it again. The capacity is great for one person, I've not tried making more than one cup, so no idea if it's ideal for 2. I've not used the travel cup that comes with it, so no idea if that's any good either. Looks wise, it fits in well with my black kitchen. It isn't the most sturdy of machines, but you can't expect it to be at the price point. I do agree with other reviewers that a drip tray would be ideal, but again, for the price and the taste, I'm more than happy with this machine and would highly recommend it to others.

Bought this for father's day. He makes a coffee to take with him to enjoy after wild swimming in the morning. He loves it. Fab wee machine not taking up too much room in the kitchen and easy to use. He didn't use the timer as it only takes 4 mins to prepare a perfect take away coffee. ☕

What a find!! This is absolutely brilliant 👏. I use my campervan a lot, literally a few nights a week. I've trued everything to get a decent cup of coffee. This is a game changer. It's light, tucks into a cupboard and most importantly only 750w. I have a 1000w limit on my system so works perfectly. I use some great coffee from Happy Barista, small filters so I don't have to clean it out. The cup they supply is huge and it fills it. It gives two normal cups. I use 3 heaped large teaspoons of coffee, I like it quite strong. Takes around 4mins to fill the cup. Perfect brew 👌

Great job for a quick, hot coffee, also easy to clean

Well built, good coffee, fast. Would be 5 stars however what lets it down is that the display lights are always on, blazing out blue light which is not great if it is kept in the bedroom. Turning it off loses the clock time and alarm settings.

Arrived in perfect condition and well packaged well worth the price which was cheap enough for a one cup coffee maker like that it came with its own cup which has a lid for it so you can have coffee on the go also has its own coffee measuring spoon Definitely happy with my purchase love that you can preset it so your coffee is done and ready for when you get up

This Salter coffee maker came with a UK plug. 🙁Why is this item for sale in Australia??🤔 Had to send it back - don’t buy.

So I got this as a single cup coffee machine for work. I've had it 3 days, I've made about 5 cups of coffee with it. It worked well for the first two cups - I followed the instructions, I used the supplied cup to fill water and then to make the brew into. The first two cups filled the supplied cup as you would expect, every cup since then has required me to run the machine 2/3 times to get the same fill even though there is water in the unit. Having to watch the machine and be there to turn it on again and again pretty much defeats the purpose of purchasing it. Cannot recommend - also, Salter were USELESS for customer care, I asked a basic question about unit operation and got back a request for a ton of irrelevant info (date & proof of purchase, proof of who I am etc) but no answer to my question.

The lid broke on y to the 4th day of using. Though the product has 12 months warranty Amazons return date has exceeded hence I am stuck with a defective product
