I needed a handyman for unrelated projects and had him install the switch, He said it was easy and the instructions were quite clear. I already own Treatlife smart plugs so already have the Smart Life app and the Alexa Smart Life skill and integration. (That was easy to do with the earlier purchases so did not need to do it again.) . I paired the switch to the Smart Life App very easily. The instructions are quite clear and easy to follow. I then, also easily, linked the switch to the Alexa app. And I was done. I had one issue that was an Alexa problem, not a Treatlife one. I could use voice and manual controls on the Smart Life App but only manual control on the Alexa app. I worked with the Treatlife customer support first and we could not solve the problem, but the Amazon customer support figured out that the problem was a naming one that the Alexa software didn't "like". Both the Treatlife and the Amazon customer support were outstanding. The Treatlife folks followed up several times to further troubleshoot without my needing to prompt them. I wish all technical support was this excellent. Once solved, the switch works perfectly and I can easily control the lights that the switch works by voice. One of the good features of this switch is the ability to turn it on and off and dim or brighten the light manually on the wall in the event that wi-fi goes down, The wall switch also has a very dim light at its on-off point; the light is just enough to see it in the dark but not obtrusive at night in a dark room (i.e., a bedroom). Overall, quite a good product coupled with excellent customer support.

Purchased based upon looks, price and interoperability with my existing devices (Smart Life app). I was not disappointed. Received as promised and took about an hour to do the full install and connect to the app plus Alexa integration. I use it to control my back porch string LED lights. The switch is located inside the house by the rear door and replaces the existing standard toggle switch. Here's my advice on the install; Read the product details, you do need a neutral line (white wire) for this to operate. I've read reviews that state the unit is too deep in the installation box - i did not find this to be the case here. The depth of the unit is no different than any similar smart unit device (and i have many in the house from different brands). Instructions and clear and surprisingly in full English with color diagrams to match if you are unsure (i am an Electronics Engineer and come across many poorly translated user/install guides - this one is precise). The unit (dimmer switch) comes with a standard single gang wall plate attached - my installation was into a double gang and so i simply purchased a new wall plate and detached the unit from the provided single wall plate and it fits as intended into the double gang plate. There are retainer clips on the rear (plastic) - you simply ease them open and the unit detaches from the provided wall plate. Wiring is extremely simple - the user guide even shows you how to search out your existing toggle switch to determine which is your line and which is your load wires. The product also comes with pre-printed labels that you peel off and stick to the existing load/line conductors in the wall, to be foolproof if you are a novice. Labels are also provided if you need to identify your Neutral and Ground wires but these are self-explanatory by color. Of course, labeling is optional but good practice! The unit itself is clearly marked on the rear for all four connections (Load, Line, Neutral and Ground and also by standard colors). Upon power-up the unit has a backlit LED circle on the rocker switch. When operated there is a horizontal row of small white LED's at the top to show the dimming percentage (10-100%) approximately. Connecting to the wifi was simple and occurred first time for me (unlike other brands!). Make sure your mobile phone is on a 2.4GHz network if you have Dual bands in your home (2.4 / 5 GHz) in order to complete the setup. Then simply add the device per the app instructions...(interestingly, while my Smart Life app was scanning for the device, Alexa found it first and told me it was available!). Now i can operate and dim the lights by voice command and set timers and schedule from the app etc. All in all i'm very pleased with the purchase so much so that it's making me think about other lights in my home that i have yet to change out to the smart dimmers.

I just needed to replace one timer switch and now I’m hooked! Excellent price. Excellent product. Easy to install. Works flawlessly. I will be doing my whole house and control from any device without need for a hub. The first pairing was a little tricky. I had to use the “slow blinking” option and connect directly to the switch itself with wifi and then it was recognized in the app. Once I got the first, the rest were easy. I’m lucky I have ground wiring. Total install and hookup was 15 minutes for the first and about 8 minutes each after that. The dimmer function works well. It says it works with all types of bulbs. I use dimmer for incandescent but the others I have are with LEDs. The switches themselves are solid and self contained. They are full sized so you will have to make room in the box. Maybe use push in connectors to save space. I highly recommend these products.

Nicely designed dimmer switch. A pleasant button, and it remembers the dimmer setting. The dimmer does not work with my fluorescent lamp, but that's the lamp's fault. The switch also does not support a three-way switch setting with multiple physical switches (but some smart switches may work for this). The setup was fine. Easy (typical) physical install, and the software on my iPhone worked right away, too. Unfortunately it relies on (2.4GHz) Wifi and an internet connection, and if the Wifi network/password change, has to be set up again with a special app. It does not support Zigbee or ZWave and will only directly connect to an Amazon Echo Plus and the Alexa eco system. It does work well though as long as there is internet, and it works well with Google Home.

This wifi switch from Treatlife installs very easily in about 10 minutes, connects to the wifi network fast and seamlessly in less than a minute, and works flawlessly. Replacing all the switches around the house by using these wifi switches and latest version dimmer (with -/+ buttons on top, and large on/off lighted button at the bottom) for ligthing control. We do not use the Alexa integration, assuming it is working just as good as the wifi integration. It has a very subtle white light locator/indicator on the switch, looks great and easy to find at night. Excellent quality, very stylish, highly recommended! The faceplate is also great looking. If you have difficulty and get frustrated with attaching the faceplate to the switch, depending your drywall opening is not perfect, try attaching the bottom notches first and then push the top notches firmly. I found out that it snaps to the switch easier that way and attaches to the wall flush. You need to have enough support around the electrical box, drywall and switch so the switch does not move inwards as you press the faceplate. Very good packaging, top quality items. Will buy more wifi switches and dimmers from Treatlife.

We just built a screened-in porch and have been thinking about upgrading some lights (especially those inside the house that cast unintended light onto the porch) into smart switches. Basically, when we're on the porch in the dark listening to the frogs, we don't want ambient light from the house ruining the mood. I couldn't be happier with this purchase. Installation takes about 25 minutes for the first one, especially if you're not sure how to determine which black wire is live and which black wires are load. Acquiring that knowledge is a Google search away. Thereafter, each installation takes about 10 minutes, including connecting to your WiFi network through the Smart Life app. Alexa integration is flawless. The Smart Life app allows you to write automations and enable them with Siri if you have an iPhone. The only minor issue that you should know going in is that these do not connect to Apple Home. (The Smart Life workaround with Siri is good, but if you're looking for out-of-box Apple integration, keep looking.) I wasn't looking for Apple integration specifically, so I'm not going to knock this product which never claims to have it. If your original switch is ganged with other switches/outlets, you might need to buy a separate switch plate. The good news is that these switches fit perfectly into standard rocker switch plate holes. In summary, the price is right, the look is sharp, the ease of installation is excellent (everything you need except the tools is in the box, including wire nuts), and the ease of use is, honestly, joyful. No complaints.

Treatlife design and implementation of the smart home, power management devices is beautifuly engineered for simple installation and ease of use for anyone. As a master degreed engineer and FIRST robotics mentor, I was an early adopter of smart home ideas. Over 15 years I have installed Wemo, GE, and several other brands of plugs, switches and even the bulbs as well as built IOT (internet of things) devices to trial other ideas myself (door locks, power management etc). I have done this for my elderly mother and others as well as myself, so understand how others view these devices and the software in which it operates. Treatlife's implementation has been the most flawless for integration into Samsung's SmartHome, Alexa, and Google Home, which I have installed for all three. The key is I have NEVER had issues with power failures, power interuptions, signal failures for distance from hub installations etc. I had many issues with the above other brands. Treatlife's software is very simple for any knowledge level (ie. my elderly mother!). Its hardware is also simple and for electrical box implementation it has a great low profile for those over wired gang boxes NOTE: Be careful for gang boxes too full of wires as that can be more difficult for installations for any brand. You want to be sure you have the space and Treatlife's switches have a good low profile. Also be aware of installations where a metal cold air return or air supply goes through the wall. Sometimes switch locations are right next to these and this can cause signal reduction which increases signal interuptions for non Treatlife switches I have experienced many times (replaced with Treatlife to resolve it!) I can only assume the GE brand is a third party with poor implementation... Wemo is an neverending reporogramming cycle and disconnects. Do yourself and others a favor and implement Treatlife!

After outfitting an entire home with Treatlife switches and outlets, I stumbled upon a fatal flaw in these devices that I never expected to encounter in a thousand years. I started off with only one device, (a simple one-pole switch), put it through some testing, looked over the SmartLife app and interface, tested integration with Alexa, etc, and when finally satisfied, moved on to additional TreatLife switches and then some outlets. All worked fine and I had no buyer's remorse whatsoever. I gradually worked my way up to adding dimmer switches in both one-pole and 3-way varieties, and all installed well and worked like the others, so I added more. It wasn't until all of the planned switch upgrades were done that I discovered bizarre anomalies when running them as a full house system. Lights on the other side of the house would come on when activating a switch. Random lights would dim or flicker when dimming another switch. After freaking out thinking that I'd somehow botched the wiring in my house, and also spending hours troubleshooting wires and app functions, and then spending even more time doing internet searches trying to hammer down what exactly was happening, it turns out that TreatLife dimmer switches can only be installed WITH ONE SWITCH PER CIRCUIT OR THEY'LL FREAK OUT WITH EACH OTHER. Meaning - if your circuit breaker at your panel turns off more than one light, (which it likely does), then you can only pick ONE of the lights on that circuit to put a TreatLife dimmer on. Apparently they "leak current" when sharing a neutral line with other TreatLife switches. How stupid is that? They don't tell you this of course, (it should be written in red across the front of the damned packaging), and I'm not the only person who stumbled across the problem either.

I bought this dimmer switch for my new chandelier light in my master bedroom. I use smart plugs with my Alexa throughout my home, but have never used a smart dimmer switch. After reading many reviews, I decided I liked the simplicity and styling of this dimmer switch. It appeared to have a more subdued operating/indicator light on it than brands, which was important for me so I could minimize the ambient light in my room for sleep. It was easy to install and pair with Alexa through the Smart Life app. It works great. So, I placed another order to get a second dimmer for my guest bedroom. This is a quality product.

This was easy to install (I have no electrical experience). Hardest part was finding the right breaker for the circuit. If you're organized and label your breaker panel like responsible adults do, it's a no-brainer to install the switch. The manual has clear and easy to follow instructions. It paired right away using the Smart Life app. Integrated with Google Home just by linking to Smart Life. All functions work as advertised. It will dim from 10-100%. Any lower and nothing happens. The only thing I will say is that the housing is cheap plastic, so be careful if you have to apply any pressure to get it into the wall box. The buttons' "clickiness" feels kinda cheap, but I'm using it mostly on automation and voice commands, so I've only pressed the button to test that I'd wired it correctly. I'd buy it again.

I liked the easy Alexa Integration..Works flawlessly...Installation was a challenge..The switch does not fit in a twin electrical switch box..The screws which join the two electrical boxes protrudes in the inside of the box which causes interference with the Smart dimmer switch..To fix this problem i grinded off to protruding screws and made them flush with the inside of the electrical box.That allows room for the Smart dimmer switch to fit properly..W.N.

Easy to install, easy to set up, and seems to work wonderfully with both Google Home and Alexa. While the hardware dimmer on the switch does work, it's much more precise to use Google or Alexa to adjust the brightness. Overall great product, and it's been hassle free for some time now. Would recommend if you like easy and flawless.

We installed this in our future baby’s nursery. One thing I was concerned about which won’t be an issue is the glow being too bright when it is off but it’s only a slight glow and won’t light up the room. Followed the instructions to pair (with the Smart Life app I already had for other smart devices) and then it automatically connected to my Alexa. Like all smart switches/devices does not use 5g WiFi which is expected. It actually makes the light fixture brighter (on brightest setting) than the original toggle switch we had which is great. The default dimness is 10% but you can change that to 1% in the app (and also limit brightness as well). When using manually: I also like how it has a default brightness setting you can set up (super easy) where you click the on button twice and it goes to that setting (such as 50% or whatever you pick), and you can change the brightness BEFORE you turn it on (say you turned it off at 90% but want to turn it back on at 20%, you can turn it down before you turn it back on).
