Do not confuse these with cheap foam grips that look similar.
These are the best grips I know of. bar none. I've tried all sorts of friction grips. I've tried a lot of ergo grips and a lot of gel padded gloves. With these I have a great grip and great padding. I don't even wear gel padded gloves any more. Better friction and more durable than any friction grip. works when wet. And super comfortable and more durable too. For comparison, THe best Ergo grips I have used by far are by Ergon which are a nice platform grip but the problem with them is that like all platform grips you can't wrap your fingers all the way around and they also are not too grippy. For comparison, all the expensive friction rubber grips that let you wrap your fingers around them are too bone jarring and also get really a gooey mess if you sweat into them. high friction rubbers also wear down after a year. Finally all the cheap "foam" rubber grips don't last, they just squish out and your is hand against solid bar, they have smooth slippery finishes, plus they don't resist twisting forces so are poor grips. This one is NOT foam rubber. It's a kind of high density closed cell Silicone foam. the trick here is it is high density. I tried other silicone grips and none were high density. the surface is rough and actually grippier than friction rubber, but it doesn't get gooey if you sweat into it. its luxuriously shock absorbing. better than any gel glove. gel gloves tend to be thick, and their squishiness loosens your grip. These are more plush but rigidly grippy. It also holds up as well as anything else to cuts and slashes on the trail. there's a trick to installing these. THe reason these things don't rotate on your handle bars (they lack locks) is they are incredibly tight fits. so getting them on is impossible unless you know the secret. Rinse the inside with isopropyl alchohol. push them on a little way. then get a cloth towel and twist them back and forth as you slide them on. You may think, I don't need a towel. you do but I can't tell you why, you just can't twist them enough without it. Do it like that and Totally easy to install. Getting them off is even harder. There's two ways. one is to repeatedly inject isopropyl with a syringe while twisting and tugging. it's hard but they come off. the other way I have seen it done in a shop is to use compressed air to remove them.

Grips
My son loves these grips! He found them very comfortable and easy to install. A big improvement over the hard, stiff OEM grips, especially for his daily rides to school.

Great Grips
My son is serving a mission for our church and the area he is serving in is desert and he had problems with the heat melting his handle bars. We sent him these and they have been great! Easy to add to his bike and no problems so far with heat/melting.

Helped with arm pump
My favorite grips to date. 4* because like others have said, these damage easily. I did get minor damage from non collision as well. The thickness is a welcome change in a very good way. Will be buying again this coming season. Have color option to choose from so I like that as well.

Nright and Day Difference in Comfort and Handling
I had to replace the very cool looking but not comfortable for me Oury gum rubber grips b/c the heel of my palms were hurting when i stood up to pedal such as climbing. I have had several pair of ESI grips on flat bar AND drop bar bikes, and only install silicone bar tape on my drop bar bikes. So it was only a matter of time before i went with function over style/looks. ESI grips are a dense foam that really takes all the pressure off of your hand while riding, but especially if squeezing the bars as is sometimes necessary. They also help eliminate road vibrations and chatter. Removing the Oury grips was a slight challenge to wedge a flat head screw driver under without gouging or scratching the silver classic Origin 8 riser bars. Sprayed a dot of WD40 and off the Oury slipped off. After paper toweling the bars dry, the ESI grips went on easily with a dab of Dawn dish soap. Just a few twists and they were lined up perfectly. Once dry, they stayed put. There is no comparison to the kind of joy and safety that comes from having comfortable hands while commuting or traversing gravel and single track. I cannot be happier with this addition and only wish I had not waited this long to install them. I will say, more color selections would do this company a world of good. They have offered the same neon green, highlighter yellow, red, white, black, purple-ish blue, and orange tones for like ever. time to look at expanding. and this tan was a limited run so i was fortunate to get it. BUT, how about some copper, brown, navy, light blue, grass green, lemon yellow, pink, even try some glitter shades - like gold or silver!

Comfortable
Comfortable and easy to install. Just coat the inside of the grip and the outside of the bar with isopropyl alcohol and slide them on, takes a little effort but less than 5mins each side. I wouldn’t call them “chunky” they are pretty flush to my brake lever mount.

Decent Kit - recommended!
If you like this style of grip then I highly recommend them. I find then particularly good for long days in the saddle. More comfortable hands give me one less thing to moan about! They aren't for everyone but I rate them.

Bon grips
Ce n'est pas la première fois que j'achète ce produit donc je suis en terrain connu. De mémoire j'avais bien galéré à monter les précédents grips. Cette fois-ci en mettant de l'alcool à 90° comme le suggère la notice, ça glisse tout seul.
