Car-Park-8 4 Post Parking Storage Car Lift 8,000 lb

After watching youtube videos and reading the instructions it only took about 6 hours to build. Was able to do almost all by myself. You need two people to stand up the posts after the attaching the cross bar and you need two or more people to move the rails. Feels very solid. had no problems moving it on the casters after I finished building it to put it in place.1 year review update: I have had the lift for a year. I am so glad I purchased this lift. It works smooth and has made a huge differencein my garage. I would certainly buy it again.

I purchased two of these lifts and lucky for me we have a fork lift. Assembly would have been impossible for two men with out it. First, this is a good lift and worth the money, however, due to the crappy assembly instructions, it took 3 days to complete the first one and only one short day on the next thanks to the experience learned.1. Have a big metric tool set. 2. Pre purchase at least 3 gallons of hydraulic oil and a good funnel ( they don't tell you're going to need that). 3. Uncrating is a nightmare, the rail with the hydraulics is on top and is the heaviest part. I suggest unbolting and removing the 4 side stantions first, they are bolted to the ends between the the two rails. If you can locate an assembled lift and take detailed pictures of everything before starting, you will save yourself hours and hours of work. Also the caster assemblies are a great idea that allows you to roll around the completed assembly to reposition it at will,

good lift so far, the directions are the worst i have ever seen. had the lift going up and downbut stil had a bag of small parts to figure out on our owen

I wanted to put 4 cars in a three car garage, so bought this. Have yet to get all the permits to raise the ceiling, but have been using if for dropping the engine and replacing it in my Corvair, redoing brakes, fixing suspension and aligning my Dauphine, etc. It is very handy.I might have been better off with a smaller unit, but this works flawlessly. Only down side is the stops are 6" apart.Ramps, like most models are steel, so weigh 50 lbs. I then ordered a set of foam ramps from JEGS that weigh 9 lbs. Much easier to handle.I can't address the assembly, as I hired someone to pick it up at the warehouse and install it. Three guys came with their tools and oil, and assembled it in 2 ½ hours without opening the manual.

The set up instructions were terrible went on you tube for help. The casters don't roll very good and to purchase new casters with rubber on the wheels
