Three stars for a so-so product
I'm not too thrilled with this waist pack (AKA fanny pack). It works OK for the most part, but there are a couple aspects of it that really bother me. First of all, when I opened the package I was disappointed to see that my pack has a very different logo than what appears on this Amazon page. Part of the reason I picked this pack is that it's very plain, but the new logo is quite large and eye catching. It's a big triangle with an arrow design. Then, several other reviews mentioned the long straps, but I didn't think that could be a big deal. Well, it is a big deal. I'm not a particularly thin person (32 inch waist), but I really have to tighten this pack to make it fit. This leaves at least a foot of dangling strap on each side. I would trim the ends like others have suggested, but the problem is there is nothing to hold the ends down. You know how a belt has a little loop next to the buckle to hold down the extra bit of belt? There is nothing like that on this pack. I'm currently using hair elastics to hold them in place, but this pinches the strap together making it look bunchy. There are a couples pluses to this product. The storage space is just what I was looking for; there is just enough space for my classic size ipod and small flip phone. I keep my house key in the smaller front pocket. You can't really tell in the photo, but the front pocket is made of mesh, so whatever you keep in there is visible. If I tighten the pack enough, it bounces only very slightly and doesn't bother me at all while running. It looks pretty ridiculous with the giant buckle and too long straps, though, so I've been wearing it under my shirt and on top of my shorts. I've needed to readjust often since it tends to slide up and land on my skin (which is uncomfortable). Three stars for a so-so product.

Doesn't stay in place and straps entirely too long
I purchased this to use on short runs to carry my phone and keys. It actually has plenty of room for that so that is why I gave it 3 stars from me.The down side.....the straps are EXTREMELY long. There is way too much overhang once I tighten this belt. I am an average size female and this is entirely too large. Maybe they need to size them sm, med and large and make the belt smaller. The other problem is that this pack DOES NOT STAY IN PLACE. Whatever I do it rides up and ends way up around my natural waist which is not comfortable. I have tried tightening it super tight and it still does this.

so so
Its large enough to fit everything I need. My big optimus g phone fits no problem. The only real issuse I have is that it always seems to ride up on me no matter how tight I make the straps. But it gets the job done. An ok product.

Good waist pack but...
This is a great waist pack. It works great when I workout and carries everything that I need. What they DON'T tell you is that the smaller zipper on the outside is only about 1-1.5" high, so the only thing you're going to fit in that zipper is a very SMALL keyring without many keys, your chapstick, or some other relatively small item.I bought this pack specifically because it had 2 separate pockets and I would be able to separate my keys from my cell phone screen and they wouldn't bounce or rub together as I move. My keys don't actually fit into this pocket. The other thing that could be better about this pack is that it is advertised as having reflectors on it. Don't be fooled - the reflective pieces of the pack are the two circles on the sides. I thought the Nathan's logo right on the back would be reflective but it is NOT.Otherwise this pack would have earned a 5-star review!

long time user
I have been using the 5K for almost 10 years now. For many of those years I lived in sweatshorts in the summer and sweatpants in the summer and so wore the 5k all day every day. It is comfortable and adequate for essentials. I wrote this review as I just bought another one. I try to keep two around so that when one goes there is another to take its place. Of, course with everyday wear they are not going to last so long, but the practicality and comfort level keep me coming back. Also it is nearly invisible beneath clothes. I wore one when traveling in rural Mindanao a few years ago and the pickpockets had a problem figuring out where the goods really were. One young boy trying to sell me trinkets inadvertantly brushed against it against above my jeans shorts and I could see his eyes light up for a millisecond. So when the bus went on my new seatmate bore scrutiny. It was rather comical to watch him as I pretended to look out the window and he put his far hand under his shirt and slowly worked it across to my side and towards the 5K where the boy had undoubtedly told him it was. When he finally got the opposing hand across to within a few inches I turned and looked at him in the eyes for a few seconds, the hand worked its way back, a little more rapidly this time and he got off at the next stop.

Simply the BEST running belt (now that the Nathan 10k slightly larger is not easily available)...
This running belt is awesome. Just enough stretch without too much. Great size and feel. Easy adjustment. Last "forever"... If you are looking for the "Ford Truck" (dependable, reliable, functional) of running belts this is it. I've bought fancier, and costlier, and they all take a back seat to this model. Made in the US , the last one I got. I have two 5K packs and two of an an older yet larger model called the 10K (which sadly I do not see coming up on the latest search). The only problem I've ever had with these is a slight tear in the neoprene after 11 years of running and washing machines. It was easily sewn. The only reason I needed a second was to leave it in the car when I forget the first one.You can shift it up, and it stays, you can wear it low and it stays. It is a shame the company has to make so many other models for the consumer culture. They nailed it with this design!PS I did see someone complain that it was a little small for all their stuff. It can hold an iPod and flip phone, but its tight, If you want to bring a lot of stuff, see if you can find the NATHAN 10K running belt, you may luck out.

Ok, but not as good as it could be
I bought this to replace my similar Hilly waist pack which has seen better days after several years of use. It isn't as good. While the Hilly one is all neoprene, this has a nylon belt which is uncomfortable when worn next to the skin. The Hilly one also has a clip inside to attach keys to so they won't drop out when opening the pack to take something else out. The Nathan pack doesn't. These packs are useful if you need to carry things while running, but this one isn't great.
