Well made and performs as promised
There is nothing I don't like about this trap. It is sturdily made which helps greatly when trapping an animal as at first when they are trapped it can be very stressful and they sometimes panic and try to get out. Setting the door is easy and the closure is quiet which helps reduce their stress.

Best trap out there
This trap is excellent to have on hand. I purchased it because of the size and style. It has multiple uses including the door lift up and latches as safety features . I am keeping it on hand as an emergency transport kennel as well. It is a safer way to transport animals. It Has extra room for a small litterbox and can fit in a vehicle and use a bed or towel as an absorbent bottom so it doubles as a make shift kennel for small pets. I would rather spend the money and get something like this that can be used for traveling and keeping a pet over night if needed in a trapping manner if one is scared and needs to be tnr’d also.I personally got it originally for medical emergencies that may happen with a colony and having two kittens from outside that are shy and now indoor only, it is also good to have in case they got outside accidentally and needed to be retrapped and were to go into that fear mode. Always good to have one on hand also with any weather evacuations that may happen. I like the size of this so i could easily put it in the car and get safely to where ever I need to go and then put them into a foldable cat cage condo if in a motel so I dont have to worry about the catching them when they are already shy from the trauma of hands still and being moved to another home or inside area like motel. It is Definitely a must have for people with pets like that or in rescue . There is Less stress and worry about catching them for transporting and a little more room also depending on their size. Mine are small and 8-ten pound cats .The doors lift up. I can put a carpenter bag underneath if needed and pee pads and a towel inside( keeping the stuff stored in it so it is ready in a pinch, along with kennel door feeders and easy to change out and give food and water without them jumping out since the doors lift up or plenty of ways to use something like a backscratcher to place in and readjust a bowl if needed if it is a cat that is upset and cant reach in. I would recommend this to anyone that rescues or even go up another size. It obviously isn’t for long term use of housing them but safer way to do it for short term moving and traveling or trapping . As long as they dont rub their face .I have used cardboard also inside to protect them from that and can ziptie and leave top of cage open to prevent rubbing of nose or added security to feel safe and better than a cardboard box type transport kennel. You can place a light sheet over it to help them feel secure. Having former ferals as pets can be worrisome when it comes to anything like that. Mine are excellent and amazing pets but still scared of hands picking them up. This will be helpful with that . I can place treats or churu inside and softly put the door down. I also got a soft kennel but the netting may be tricky on that one for a long car trip and this would be easier to clean and check on if needing to add food or treats /water. The latches are great. The door lifts make it easier and less risk of them getting hurt. And the can lie down if needed and rest more comfortably and better air flow also. My giant cat also loves the box it came in and i guess he approves of that even more! ☺️

Best cat trap ever!
For TNR, this trap seems to be less sus for stray, lost and feral cat catching. Love that it opens from front and rear making it easier to place bait/food.You may be asking, "This is a large trap! What if I catch an opossum or a fox or raccoon?" Yes. This is a distinct possibility with a larger trap like this and probably more likely. That's the chance we take. Look, I had a VERY angry, scary raccoon caught once in this brand of traps and it held up with zero damage. Trap's integrity wasn't compromised one bit. This is my 4th fat cat trap because I'm certified crazy cat lady and try to trap multiple cats (lord help me).I had a Havahart trap that was destroyed by a lunatic raccoon from the inside out (still hoping that big gal didn't injure herself escaping). Never once has this happened with this brand. BUT stray/feral cats don't seem as suspicious of it as they do the smaller ones in my experience. This is a high end trap and I highly recommend it for cat TNR (even with the accidental raccoon captures). The fat cat trap is a top of the line trap and has been way more effective for trapping and TNR of cats (even with the occasional and accidental psychotic raccoon capture). I usually keep a live cam on the trap and check it every couple of hours (every hour in these Minnesota winters) so whatever gets trapped doesn't hurt itself trying to escape. Nothing can escape this trap, though so ya gotta be vigilant! Here's Randy, a super feral boy who was trapped, neutered and accepted to furball feral cat sanctuary. He was trapped almost instantly in this one and would never go into the smaller one. Randy is thriving now! 5 stars.

Stray cat life saver and you can’t beat the customer service!!
After Walter a stray cat we had been feeding showed up with some serious injuries we knew that slowly gaining his trust was not an option. After reading up on all my live trap options I decided to go with this one and I’m so happy I did. Despite shipping showing a 1-2 week timeframe I wasn’t able to find anything comparable I could get any faster so I went ahead and bought it and wrote to the seller telling them of our time sensitive situation with Walter. Much to my surprise they not only responded quickly and with empathy but they managed to ship it out before their weekend which resulted in me getting it in days rather than weeks. It arrived on my doorstep and within in hour I had it set up and surprisingly managed to catch him within 30 mins of initial set up. It was easy to use and was also very quiet so he only jumped a little rather than down right panic. Now that I have him caught I can get him the medical attention he needs and deserves. I can’t thank you guys enough for helping me save Walter and for making such an amazing life saving trap. I would 100% recommend this product and seller! Such great customer service is rare these days but so greatly appreciated!!Update: two years later and this trap has helped us save so many feral and stray cats lives. We have used it to catch several injured and sick cats so we could get them to our vet for treatment. It’s also helped us get the feral cats in through our local rescues to be fixed, vaccinated and then released back to their original location so they are at lower risk of spreading disease and adding to the over population problem. We used it to trap 3 semi feral kittens that were running around a Safeway parking lot and they are now loving life as part of our Crew of rescues. It’s been out in the weather but it’s held up impressively well. I do not leave it out in the elements except when trapping and I clean it up between every use and it looks almost new despite being pretty heavily used. 100% recommend this product and company.
